“The checkin process was really friendly and fast. Our room was clean and charming. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious - it's a popular spot!! We then had a few drinks in the bar and loved that it was a real country pub and everyone was up for a chat and a laugh. We're booking to come back with friends - we loved it.”

Carolyn and Paul were perfect hosts available when you need them but not intrusive. It felt like we had the place to ourselves and the distance from the other cabins ensured our privacy! “Tyvärr var det dåligt städat mycket lortiga fönster,många spindlar och spindelnät ofräscht. Rummet var förövrigt rymligt. God mat i restaurangen och mycket bra frukost. Fint läge och många kängurus. Fin golfbana. ”

“Absolutely beautiful accommodation! It appeared that there were only a few rooms which made it very quiet. The property is was gorgeous, rooms were clean, spacious with everything we needed. It gave a very Tuscan style with beautiful views and kangaroos around. It was about a 2 min drive to Hunter valley gardens and Harrigans pub, making it a great location. I would definitely stay here again! ”

“Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. ”

“This property is a little gem. Could have easily stayed for a lot longer. Everything was top notch. The owners have prioritised quality rather than jamming more properties onto a small area. The view we woke up to each morning was breathtaking ”

“Beautiful place with spacious well appointed suites. The food was amazing! Close to all the top spots in The Hunter. Our only disappointment was that the amazing hospitality stops at check out time, no ability to organise a late check out and when we wanted to ride their complementary bikes after check out for the afternoon we were told there would be a $100 charge (they did give us one hour for free though) For the price of this accommodation those little extra value adds would have made the...
