“My wife and I stayed 4 night in this updated 1700s cottage that was clean and cozy. I’m an early riser so I enjoyed the early mornings by the fire pit and my wife slept in. We visited a lot of the area places ie Strasburg railroad, sight and sound theatre which was amazing! “I've been driving by The Shoe for over 40 years and finally took the opportunity to spend a weekend there with life-long friends. It.Was.Fantastic!!!! It's cozy, cool, creative, and full of history! We were thankful for rainy weather because we did not want to leave! “Get ready to be immersed in history and antiques in this adorable cottage in Mt Gretna! Removed from the modern world, traffic, the city as well as modern conveniences. We love antiques & the wraparound porch, had a little issue with the mildew/mold and had to open all the windows & doors during our stay. Remember to bring your own hair dryer, iron or steamer & charger banks. All bedrooms are located upstairs & don’t have modern electrical outlets & not a lot of lights. Recommend arriving well...

“Very comfortable and attractive home away from home. I was there for 31 days . From snow melt to blooming Magnolias and daffodils ! A great private location with trees all around . Plenty of parking. Comfortable furniture. Fireplace . Very little traffic on the road infront. Recommended.”
