“We had a lovely stay at The Dollhouse in Elkin. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens and wonderful shower pressure. House manual very informative. Host excelled in southern hospitality adding thoughtful touches that made our stay feel so welcomed.It is very close to Main Street with wonderful shops and local eateries. Great music scene and cocktail bars to visit. We will certainly add this to our list of “keepers”.”

“Place was dusty and dirty. The siding was falling off the house. There were bees going into the siding of the house to their nest inside the walls. Place was run down. Couldn't stay there and host wouldn't refund us.”

“We had a great time at this cottage. The purpose of our stay was to go to North Wilkesboro racetrack. It was 27 minutes no matter what way we went. It's close to some small country stores that had everything we needed for our weekend stay. This property has a lot of country feel to it. If you are looking for a place to stay that is a little off the beating path and have a great view of rolling hills this is a great spot. If you have a Dog this property has plenty of room for them to run around.”

“Everything about our stay here was wonderful. The hosts were excellent communicators and their home is absolutely beautiful. You feel so at home in their space and it was so comfortable. Everything we wanted to go to was within a 10 - 20 minute drive and super convenient to get to. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone who comes to this area and hope to come back ourselves again in the future.”

“We loved the tranquility of the setting and the house itself. We didn't see anyone in our area until we went to our wine tasting up the road. There were opportunities to explore the river and outside area, as well as relax on the porch and inside. We loved the sauna. Our kids loved it too.”
