“One of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning in the room did not work and there is no overnight staff to contact. It was 34 degrees. There is no bottled water in the rooms (you cannot drink the tap water). "Zanzibar is a beautiful island with friendly people. The hotel is nice and the views are beautiful. However there is no beach at the hotel. The straff is kind but very untrained and many do not understand English which makes restaurant and room service challenging. The food is at a good price but at its best average. The hotel management is rude and did not Ask a single question about our stay. Head of food and beverage was very kind however. The ordered and confirmed transport from the airport to the hotel did not show up at the airport and we were luft waiting for an hour and after that had to arrange a taxi for ourselves in the middle of the night. Upon checkout they tried to chargé us for this… if you are looking for a true five star experience you should consuder another hotel. "
