The only thing the we would like to improve was the breakfast. It lacked on refills already around 0915 some mornings and wasnât as fresh as we would have liked it but not bad either so overall a great hotel outside the most central part of Split. â

âWe really enjoyed our time here. We coordinated with the host to let them know our arrival time, and even though we arrived a little later than planned they were still there waiting at the reception desk to show us around our apartment. The host who greeted us was so friendly and helpful in providing suggestions about the local area and cuisine. It was so nice to have such a warm welcome after 16 exhausting hours of travel.

âWe were 5 women who stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and Ivan was so kind and helpful. He really made an effort to give us the best experience as possible! The apartment was close to the beach and supermarket. With an Uber you reached the old town within 5 minutes and Mall of Split and City Center One (two big shopping malls) within 15 minutes. The apartment has everything you need, including air conditioning. Iâm definitely returning to Split and to this apartment :)â

"Not five-star quality â disappointing stay
We booked Amphora Garden via Expedia, but the photos shown were from Amphora Hotel, which has higher standards and sea views. It was not clear that Amphora Garden is behind the main building and of much lower quality.
Our apartment had a separate bedroom, kitchenette, and two bathrooms. It looked fine at first, but the kitchen lamp and extractor fan were covered in dust, the bathroom had what appeared to be mold, and I saw insects in the room. There were wine glasses but no corkscrew. When I called reception, I was told by the bar that room service costs money. I was promised someone would bring one, but no one came. Later, the bar said they didnât have enough and I should bring the bottle myself. One bedside lamp was unstable and not fixed despite reporting it.
A booked dinner was also disappointing â no drink orders taken, food was cold and tasteless, âŹ105 wasted. Breakfast was average; the omelette chef was the only highlight.
The rooftop infinity pool had nice views but poor maintenance â cracked and dirty glass panels. The beach water was clear, but the area is still under construction with few restaurants.
Facilities exist, but service is almost zero. Compared to five-star hotels in Spain or Greece, this would not even reach three-star level."
