Maasai warriors doing the jump dance. It's also know as Adumu or Aigus, which means "to jump" in the Maasai's native language. They do this ceremony to mark the coming of age of young Maasai warriors and as also a show of strength and manhood. This is how a Maasai warrior finds a mate, the highest jumper gets the gals.

This is early morning looking from the "main tent" where you have dinner etc out on the grounds of Porini Mara camp. You can see one of the 8 tents on property down below. This really is not roughing it the tents are full on glamping with real beds etc.

Waiting for the wildebeest to cross the river in Maasai Mara, Kenya. Definitely worth it! Went on a couple safaris in Kenya with my family and came out with some lovely shots! Eco-lodges are recommended and you will not regret this experience.

Our first major sighting, after less than an hour on Kenya’s Maasai Mara, was this gorgeous lioness as she moved from her shaded spot within a lone acacia and down onto the open plain as a cooling rainstorm swept across the area. The Mara, despite its protections, remains an area of complex lion/human interaction due to the close proximity of numerous pastoral Maasai communities. These herders have often resorted to illegal night-grazing within the reserve’s lands, especially during times of drought and lion attacks on livestock have led to past retaliations on the Mara’s predator population #Adventure #adventurephotocontest

Our day in the Maasai Mara was incredible. We saw all of the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo) today which is not common. And although giraffes aren't in the Big 5, this was one of my favorite moments from the day. Loving our time in Kenya. #lens4change

Out of all of the pictures I took on safari, this one probably sums up the Serengeti more than any other. The vastness of the land is evident by this solitary lion taking shelter from the midday sun under the shade of an acacia tree.
