Everything from the a la carte breakfast with homemade jam and yoghurt to the cleaning, staff and bed was unbelievable. Alaya is located just door to door to yoga barn. If you like yoga, this is the place to stay. It takes around 15 minutes walking to Ubud market, however, Hanoman street where Alaya is located has amazing restaurants. To summarise, Alaya was one of the best hotel I've been to.

Fantastisk vackert läge vid havet med härligt poolområde men även solstolar vid den lilla stranden. Går att åka med lokala båtar till Dream Beach - enklare än med bil - el ta en snorkeltur. Man behöver inte köpa hotellets utflykter går att få bättre och personligare om man kollar med lokala guider - alla är så vänliga. Riktigt bra mat och meny - och jag är kräsen - på hotellets 2 restauranger men det finns även Warungs i närheten om man vill ha det lite enklare. Jag hade läst i tidigare recensioner att maten var ngt dyr men det håller jag inte med om efter att ha ätit på flera andra bättre hotell och restauranger på östra Bali där maten varit dyrare och sämre. Frukosten var också bättre än förväntat. Personalen omtänksam och så vänliga. Vi bjöds på ngt sött t e x kaka, frukt + kokosvatten vid poolen varje dag. En trevlig överraskning. Kan tänka mig att bo här igen när man vill ha total avkoppling och bli bortskämd. Jag bodde i Deluxe Garden View och bor hellre en trappa upp än i Bungalow. Nästa gång ocean view men annars jättenöjd - bra sängar, rymligt, trevlig balkong.

We, a couple, had a great and carefree stay in one of their single bedroom villas, the pictures don't lie, the pool is big enough, living area and bedroom spacious and clean. It was very quiet, no outside disturbance and we were left to ourselves unless we needed something, the people working there were awesome! Breakfast was ordinary but good, they serve it to your bedroom! Having said all that not everything was perfect. Our Villa did show some age, there were signs of water damage along the walls, mould was visible on both kitchen and bedroom walls and especially under the sink in the bathroom. Air-conditioning dripping water on bedroom sofa (they couldn't fix it on two attempts while we were there). We also discovered a broken pipe and leaking water so they had to turn off the water so they could fix it, all the while we were having our evening cocktails ;-) The faucets weren't firmly fixed to the sink and bath-tub. But that is all small stuff. We did have a great stay and we didn't regret it.
