“GREAT location in the heart of downtown Salem. The property is basically an older style two-bedroom apartment with great high ceilings and two huge windows in the living room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and show was terrific. It's definitely an older unit, but very comfortable and clean. The unit also had a washer (very old. needs to be replaced) and a dryer that came in handy.The owners live across the hall. We met them and they couldn't have been nicer and more helpful....

The water in the kitchen has a bit of rust, but the adjacent bathroom the water was better, which we used.The beds were comfortable, the shower ok. No way to control the heat… needs window upgrades, holes in floors patched.The Vrbo app horribly difficult and frustrating, that definitely needs addressing.”

We are older women, and 3 in our group decided to all sleep downstairs in order to avoid navigating the stairs, so I had the loft all to myself. The couches are comfy!It took us a few days to realize that we could stream videos of rivers and nature on YouTube on the projector, so we could feel connected to the outside world again. The lack of windows to the outside is the one downside to the Lodge, but the spaciousness...

Once we parked the car in the dedicated, secured parking spot, we hardly moved the car for the next 3 days. Many great dining places are within easy walking distance. The space had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was an unexpected issue upon check-in, but Angela worked tirelessly over the next few hours to get it resolved and communication...
