“This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees.”

“A clean basic overnight stay. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant attached was excellent . Fantastic burgers and a great breakfast. We would stay again.”

“Excellent location in a very nice town. A bit noisy with room towards the street. Very charming room with leaning floors and walls! Excellent breakfast (one morning) at the set time of 7.30. Next morning the breakfast was not until 8.00 without any specific information about the change. Street parking with fee between 8 and 18 (if I remember correctly).”

“Great hotel close to Bristol Centre, the gym could have been better, to small and not to much options to chose from...”

“Very nice building and the room in a separate building was deigned tastefully and was very clean. In the morning we had a nice full English breakfast in the garden. Unfortunately I forgot my jacket in the room but it was sent home to Sweden at no extra charge which I highly appreciated. We are looking forward to visiting The White Hart again and I can gladly recommend The White Hart.”

“So.This pub is in refurbishment mode and in my opinion shouldn’t be open to hotel customers.Room and beds o.k. Clean bedding etc.Shower not working and not fixed over weekend so had to use friends room also cold.No soap etc.No hanging wardrobe space at all.Kettle disgusting so didn’t use. Breakfast adequate but no choice for anything other than fry up.( Gluten free bread but not convinced of x contamination.Service sporadic. Outside space not safe due to scaffolding and ladders etc. All in all...

“Quick & easy”

“Exactly what I would expect from a large chain hotel. Reasonably comfortable beds, good amenities, clean property, pleasant staff. No bells and whistles, but it works for a good night's sleep.”

“Negatives: Cobwebs all over the ceilings in room and bathroom. Bathroom seen better days, very worn/mouldy stains. No heating, at least not functioning. Beds rock hard and bedding torn. Breakfast options mediocre. Pub stopped serving food quite early in the evening and didn’t always offer everything that was on the menu. Positives: good size room/bathroom. Nice with the adjacent pub. Big garden and parking lot. Bus stop nearby (3 min walk). Friendly staff.”

“Room was basic and needed a good clean and Fresh paint. In fact the whole place needs to be modernised and freshened up entirely, continental breakfast can not replace a fry up”
