“Parking was only ok because we arrived late in the day on a Saturday and were able to park on the street outside for free. Any other day and I think you’d have to pay to park on the high street. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night so no complaints. Pinos across the road was excellent for dinner. ”

“Very nice building and the room in a separate building was deigned tastefully and was very clean. In the morning we had a nice full English breakfast in the garden. Unfortunately I forgot my jacket in the room but it was sent home to Sweden at no extra charge which I highly appreciated. We are looking forward to visiting The White Hart again and I can gladly recommend The White Hart.”

“This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees.”

“I stayed overnight on Wednesday 3 June. On the Thursday morning I got up to find there was no hot water in my room. I had to wash and shave using cold water. Most unsatisfactory. I went to reception and the staff there was most unhelpful. I asked to make a formal complaint and asked the manager to contact me by phone or email. No follow up has been forthcoming. I feel robbed as I paid quite a high price for the room and in my opinion have not been given the customer service anyone would...

“Nice large recently refurbished room, comfortable bed and lovely soft pillows but the shower room was tiny and the sliding door on the bathroom was very noisy making any privacy in the middle of the night when going to the loo impossible but it was clean. Our only real complaint and it's a big one, was the noise from the pub bar immediately beneath our room. We appreciated that there would be some noise as we were staying in a pub, however there was a karaoke evening including a DJ on the Friday...

“Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. “Negatives: Cobwebs all over the ceilings in room and bathroom. Bathroom seen better days, very worn/mouldy stains. No heating, at least not functioning. Beds rock hard and bedding torn. Breakfast options mediocre. Pub stopped serving food quite early in the evening and didn’t always offer everything that was on the menu. Positives: good size room/bathroom. Nice with the adjacent pub. Big garden and parking lot. Bus stop nearby (3 min walk). Friendly staff.”

“We stayed in the tower suite which was overall lovely room. For that price, I would appreciate if the amenities are a bit nicer. The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them.
