“Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm.”

“Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

“Very nice building and the room in a separate building was deigned tastefully and was very clean. In the morning we had a nice full English breakfast in the garden. Unfortunately I forgot my jacket in the room but it was sent home to Sweden at no extra charge which I highly appreciated. We are looking forward to visiting The White Hart again and I can gladly recommend The White Hart.”

“The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!”

“Excellent location in a very nice town. A bit noisy with room towards the street. Very charming room with leaning floors and walls! Excellent breakfast (one morning) at the set time of 7.30. Next morning the breakfast was not until 8.00 without any specific information about the change. Street parking with fee between 8 and 18 (if I remember correctly).”

“We stayed in the tower suite which was overall lovely room. For that price, I would appreciate if the amenities are a bit nicer. The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them. My neck was in terrible pain when I woke up. The pool was nice but I think it would be good to have a booking system. At some point, too many people came and there were not enough room for everyone. “Negatives: Cobwebs all over the ceilings in room and bathroom. Bathroom seen better days, very worn/mouldy stains. No heating, at least not functioning. Beds rock hard and bedding torn. Breakfast options mediocre. Pub stopped serving food quite early in the evening and didn’t always offer everything that was on the menu. Positives: good size room/bathroom. Nice with the adjacent pub. Big garden and parking lot. Bus stop nearby (3 min walk). Friendly staff.”
