The house was an excellent gathering place for our college reunion group / friends. Enough separate rooms and beds for privacy, lots of comfortable sitting spaces both indoors and out. Spectacular views and a really luxurious home to spend the week.We enjoyed the lake, the kayaks, the floating "island".We spent a lot more time in the indoor hot tub than we expected - and still had time for hiking on Mt Major, dinner in Wolfboro and Alton and enjoying gathering on the patio. We really appreciated the updated full house music system!

Beautiful Property...Incredible Value

I don't typically leave reviews, and I don't have the time to list all of the amazing things about this property, but most are covered in the previous positive reviews that others have left. My family was able to settle right in and enjoy so many different nooks and crannies of this incredible property. It would take multiple weeks to be able to fully use all of the thoughtful seating/gathering areas and activities galore. We were still finding so many great spots and games the day we departed. Felt like home away from home, and getting to and from Gunstock was super easy.Overall, ownership was super accommodating and very responsive. Not an inexpensive rental, but somehow still blew us away in terms of value. This is an absolutely perfect place to spend time with friends and family. Thank you again!

Fun weekend

Great place. Plenty of room for 16 of us. Great ourdoor areas. Kids loved the movie room and the hot tub. Lake used every day.

Family gathering

This is a large beautiful house on Alton Bay. A lot to do, with jacuzzi, pool and ping pong, and of course the lake. Unfortunately the movie room was not working most of the time, in fact few of the TVs worked due to lack of remotes. We should not have had to spend time repairing and cleaning the grill, or cleaning spider webs from the abundance of porch and outdoor chairs and lounges. But our family of 11 with friends had a wonderful time. The house is on a cliff with amazing views of the lake from a beautiful patio and bedrooms and porches. There are 57 steps from the house to the docks. The kitchen has modern appliances. Beds are comfortable. About a 25 minute car ride to Wolfeboro for shopping and good restaurants. Much shorter by boat. If you have a big gathering of family and/or friends, I definitely recommend this property as a place that will provide wonderful memories.

Great Stay On the Lake!

We were astounded by the beauty of this house. Everything was very clean, plenty of lake toys and kitchen equipment to use which was very helpful. Steve was a great host, and was very responsive with any questions or comments we had. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to stay there again!

The house needs some love.

Place was not completely as advertised. The distance down to the dock is a lot longer way down/up than advertised. There was no fire pit and or wood as advertised in the pictures (We bought fireplace and wood and left behind for house) Game room missing refrigerator. Main kitchen lacking pots and pans for cooking adequately for family of seven. Grill missing cleaning brush. Kitchen refrigerator freezer very hard to open and rusted out. Knife set extremely dull. No shades or blinds in Master Bedroom, lacked privacy and 5am sunrise was hard to sleep through. Outside table and chairs not usable, covered in ticks and spiders, needed to be pressure washed. Outlets not working outside. Kayaks hard to get down to water. Overall, we made it work, but this house needs some love..

AMAZING

This was the perfect place to stay for our family getaway. The house was just amazing and so beautiful- we did not want to leave! The house is in the perfect location where Gunstock Mountain Resort was only ten minutes away! Between the hot tub, movie theater, pool table, ping pong table, and the most beautiful sitting area with the most beautiful view, my family and I were never bored and had the perfect getaway. Thank you so much! Definitely will be coming back!

Beauty, Luxury and Comfort

Rarely do these three things come together so nicely. This property hits them all out of the park. We were looking for a ski house with a view and came across this gem on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. It's situated right on the lake (with protected boat slip and swimming area, gazing at Rattlesnake Island and the White Mountains beyond). It made us want to get up for sunrise! We're a foodie family and the gourmet kitchen was perfectly arranged for our needs. The stone fireplace and alongside indoor hot tub were used every day. The lower level game rooms, movie room and bar were a hit with the young people. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped and very stylish. Linda/Steve provided all the needed answers to FAQs and right-on restaurant recommendations. Robert, the caretaker, was incredibly available and attentive to several pop-up needs. Each and everyone remarked about how we MUST come back in the summer for the warmer flavor of fun. And we plan to. Doug and Tina V.

Great Spot

This was a great rental and a great spot. Steve and Linda were awesome hosts, giving us recommendations on things to do and being accommodating the whole weekend to our requests. I would highly recommend this rental.
