“Good communication from the owner before we arrived. Property was an old cottage, but quaint and clean and had everything we needed except milk or sugar. The washer and dryer was a bonus. ”

Anna was wonderful, there was an issue with the internet, we didn’t even know was a problem until she reached out with a plan to have it fixed. “Large spacious and cosy house. Wonderful scenery around the village, the gateway to the Isle of Skye 20 minutes away, and what feels like the only chocolaterie in the whole of Scotland within walking distance. Of course, as almost everywhere in the Highlands, you should have a car with you, as public transport is not as frequent as you might be used to in cities.”

“Cute house in a centrally located neighborhood, within walking distance to groceries and downtown Portree. House was well stocked with kitchen essentials and was comfortable for our family. One bedroom could stand a new mattress as our kids could feel some springs. Also some blackout curtains would be great in the Spring/Summer months as it is light most of the day and night. But other than it was cute and nice and we’d recommend it to others.”

Das Zimmer mit dem großen Bett hat ein gefangenes Duschbad mit niedriger (180cm) , schmaler, angeschrägter Zugangstür. Als 2m-Meter-Mann kommt die Duschhöhe ans Limit. Ergänzend ein weiteres Bad mit Badewanne. Die direkte Lage am Loch phantastisch ( nur getrennt durch eine Straße, direkt gg. der Isle of Skye) und das Dorf sehr schön. “Nice big house for a very comfortable stay. Plenty of rooms and comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen as well. Views around the property are very scenic and help one immensely to unwind. “We have stayed in An Gearasdan on a number of occasions and have been visiting Glenelg for over 24 years. The property is lovely, very well set out and perfect for groups and a couple of dogs. The view down the sound is spectacular and the locals are lovely. We cannot fault the house or location and hope to return for many more years.”

Two improvements would be helpful - we had 6 people and number of glasses and basic dishes were exact at six or a little less in some categories, which was inconvenient.
