Fjällstugor i Ashbourne

“Excellent stay, really comfortable room with helpful staff. Restaurant was a gastronomic experience and I lived it.”

“Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay”

“Great hospitality very accommodating”

“Really good food and service. The rooms are old and the cleaning before I got my room wasn’t the best. Try to stay at the second floor so you don’t have to listen to your upstairs neighbors all night. ”

“I really enjoyed our stay at the lodge and overall we had a very good experience. The inside was above our expectations. The rooms were newly refurbished, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen and dining areas were also really nicely done. The beds were comfortable and everything felt fresh and well looked after. The caretaker was extremely helpful and supportive throughout our stay, and we received really good customer service, which made us feel very welcome. There are just a couple of...

“Excellent place to stay with a family, our 3,6 and 11 year olds loved the outdoor spaces, the gardens and play areas are fantastic and the lounge areas are also great for families. The room was a good size and the dining room had great food at decent prices, esp as kids eat for £1! You can walk directly from the hostel to many different paths into countryside or dovedale. Our family loved this place, I highly recommend it.”

“Well appointed & comfortable tiny characterful old property. Not much spare room & very steep stairs.”

“Fantastic accommodation. Right in the centre of ashbourne. Will recommend and will come again”

“We were very comfortable in this property. The owner met us and explained the property. The property was exactly what we wanted for our few days there. We will certainly return.”

“This property suited our needs perfectly. Lots of cycling opportunities nearby. We did the high peak trail and the tissington trail and around carsington water. ”

“Nice and spacious for the 6 of us - may feel cramped if full. 3 very good en-suites but a slight problem for bedroom 4 as no easy bathroom access. Wi-Fi good. Would be even better with full TV service and one or two more cooking utensils eg for microwave. May well stay here again”

“This was a very special break for two people sharing a birthday we was disgusted fir the floor boards was that noisy everyone woke up in the middle of the night whom had to go to the toilet. There could be heating out in in main bathroom as smelt damp and cold such a shame we took two dogs and outside area could of done with fenced of areas. Such a shame as the whole place was a lovely place .”

“Very clean and comfortable accommodation. We had an issue with the heating, but the management dealt with it promptly and professionally. Would definitely recommend.”

“The property was clean and everything was as it should be. A great place to stay when visiting the Peak District.”
