Plantagenet Cottage är unik, charmig och göms undan i utkanten av en pittoresk Kentish by.
Stugan utsikt över Eastwell Manor Country Estate som ligger alla inom det fantastiska Kent Downs-området med enastående naturlig skönhet.

** NYHET - från april 2018 kan vi erbjuda våra gäster användning av Champney's Spa-anläggningar på Eastwell Manor - inklusive inomhus- och utomhuspooler, 9-håls golfbana, tennisbanor, gym, träningspass etc. Fråga oss om det skulle vara intressant **

Stugan dateras tillbaka till 1500-talet när den ursprungligen byggdes som ett rumsboende av Richard Plantagenet, en naturlig son till kung Richard III [den som de hittade under parkeringen i Leicester], så var vår Richard i teorin den sist i Bloodline av Plantagenet Kings of England. Det är en fascinerande historia och du hittar massor av information om detta i stugan.

Vi sover 6 personer [möjlig 7th / barn] över 3 lyxiga sovrum - i själva verket hela fristående Fastigheten har nyligen renoverats till en mycket hög standard som ger alla moderna bekvämligheter och komfort samtidigt som stugan rustika charm och historiskt värde.

Det stora vardagsrummet finns 2 bekväma soffor, en 40 "plasma smarta TV med Netflix, Amazon / iPlayer etc. Den har också en stor Spiselvrån spis - härlig mysiga log bränder i kallare klimat. månader.

Matsalen har ett bord sitter för 6 personer under ett välvt tak med en gotisk båge ser ut till trädgården.
Det finns också ett kontor med nätverksportar och skrivare och USB laddning från de flesta rum. Det finns ett fullt utrustat kök med nya vitvaror i en handgjord trä finish. Och ett badrum med badkar, dusch och toalett - och det har en Cubby hål [med parkett bänkskiva] i en nyligen utsatt gammal eldstad.

Trädgården sveper runt fastigheten och har en parkliknande känsla med massor av väl etablerade träd och buskar. Massor av utrymme för barnen att leka .. vi har även "Teletubby" högar! Det finns en BBQ och utanför sittplatser.

En bestämd höjdpunkt i varmare månader är den uppvärmda utomhuspoolen som ligger i ett muromgärdat område i ett soligt hörn av trädgården. POOL OPEN MELLAN APRIL TILL SEPTEMBER - Exakt datum är väderberoende.

Vår stuga är verkligen en härlig plats som vi tycker har en härlig avslappnad känsla och god atmosfär.

This is our 4th or 5th stay at the cottage. We love it there so much! The cottage is beautiful ave has every amenity you could possibly need. The garden is extremely peaceful. The swimming pool is awesome, especially if you’re lucky enough to get great weather as we did during our stay. The hot tub and outdoor shower are brilliant! The location of Plantagenet is perfect. There’s lots of lovely places to walk and plenty of gorgeous restaurants. Tim is the perfect host and will do everything he can to ensure you have the most wonderful stay. I can’t recommend the cottage highly enough. It’s simply perfect.

We had such a great time in this cottage, got very lucky with the weather so having a pool was brilliant and it's bigger than it looks in the photos and properly heated so really nice to be in. The garden is huge with lots of shady areas and seating and a great badminton court. Our 3 teenagers really enjoyed it, and the hot tub and outdoor shower were definitely a bonus.Beds are super comfy, the setting is very private and not overlooked at all, everything worked as expected, all in all a very stress free week and we'd definitely book again next year. Thank you Tim!

Perfect Cottage

Wonderful stay at the perfect cottage in a great location. Spacious holiday home with everything we needed for a great week! Fully enclosed enormous garden, perfect for children and dogs. Hosts Tim & Maite were on hand for anything needed, highly recommend and will be back.

Core Memories Made

We stayed here as a family of 5 with ages ranging from 7 to teens to 40 somethings. We all had the most amazing 6 nights and we were so sad when our time had come to an end. The house, the garden, and the pool were incredible. We had some much needed quality family time and I would recommend this property without reservation, we had the most magical time.

Beautiful cottage and gardens

We really enjoyed our brief stay in this beautiful cottage. It had all the facilities needed, lovely interior designs and a wonderful garden - and pool! The location is good - easy access to local pub, or short drive to shops and amenities of a town - and everything that Kent has to offer. We managed to fit in, designer shopping, beach and Canterbury - plus lots of pool time.

Wonderful trip

What a fantastic house for a group of friends looking for a relaxing break away. The house was beautiful and equipped with everything you could need. The garden was magical and the pool was an amazing addition to our stay. The hosts were very attentive and available at anytime if you had any questions. There is a lovely pub on the green a couple minutes walk away and the town of Wye is a 10 minute drive away, with lots of walking routes if you want to stretch your legs. Thanks for having us, we look forward to our next visit!

Wonderful break

My family and I were slightly hesitant about booking a cottage in the midst of winter but we all had the best time ever. The Cottage is gorgeous and the wood-burning stove made it super cosy, the kids adored playing on the trampoline for hours on end. We discovered some stunning countryside walks and forests and quaint old Kentish pubs serving amazing food - we all want to come back already. Really organised hosts too - thank you !

A true secret garden

We stayed at the Plantagenet cottage the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and then with my husband for a complete get away. It was so special from start to finish! The cottage is hidden away from the real world, very peaceful. The garden is fantastic, with beautiful views out into the Eastwell manor grounds. Inside everything was clean and perfectly presented. So many original features and nods the older building with modern features to make cooking and relaxing nice and easy. Everything labelled clearly which is great, no confusion over keys, cupboards or lights. Tim was just leaving when we arrived and it was a pleasure to meet before we unpacked and settled in. A few helpful tips with the pool which was great, we got straight in and it was absolutely divine! I cannot fault our stay in any way, it was perfect. Thank you Tim and Maite.

Absolutely perfect holiday location

We went away as a family, two young kids and couldn’t fault it. Very private and out of the way, with lots of stuff a short drive away, including Ashford shopping centre and town. The pool is huge with lots of toys and fun things to use, already at the cottage. Lovely swing, trampoline and other various toys and bits around and in the cottage. The pictures don’t do it justice, the garden is huge and be prepared to get your steps in walking around it! Inside the cottage is beautiful and really gives you the home feeling while being on holiday. The hosts were 100% perfect with great communication and extremely welcoming. From the start of the booking process to the checking out, it was stress free and so easy. We appreciate everything that was done and how easy it all was. Thank you so much for the amazing experience and hope to come back in a couple of years for longer!

Everything we hoped it would be

This is a lovely house in a great location and comfortably fit the wife and I, my three young boys, the in-laws and their dog. It felt bigger than the pictures online which was great and the features within gave it real character. All was clean and ready for us with the owners communication great and overall very welcoming. The real highlight of this property though is the garden. While the enclosed pool was perfect, the best word to describe the garden is magical. You felt in your own little world and the kids and dog loved it especially. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return with both my family or with a group of friends. Perfect Tranquil location with private pool

Plantagenet Cottage is an amazing place to stay, lovely bedrooms (very comfy beds), a big garden with views of the sunset towards Eastwell Manor and a great private swimming pool. It’s such a tranquil location, perfect for relaxing by the pool or enjoying a barbecue in the garden. The cottage has been lovingly restored with great original features and everything you could need in the kitchen. Tim is a great host, quick to respond to any questions, gave really clear instructions on how to find the cottage and checking we had everything we needed. The cottage was clean and tidy, with a lovely welcome basket on arrival - even including dog treats for my friend’s dog. I really can’t recommend highly enough!

Girls weekend

Had a lovely time staying at this cottage, the hosts have been great communicating and re-arranging our stay date due to lockdowns too. Felt like our own little space tucked away from everyone else with the massive garden and private pool area to enjoy. Beds were comfy too! Would definitely recommend.

Everything you need in a wonderful setting

Just spent a few days at this beautiful cottage. We had lovely weather so able to get the most out of spending time in the pool and wonderful garden. Great walk - just pop over the ladder. The cottage has everything you need and immaculately clean. Would love a return visit as lots to do round this area but could equally happy to just stay in the cottage.
