Unfortunately not the standard of a 5 star hotel!
- our room had no daylight, no option to change rooms either
- at the stressful breakfast the plates were dirty. Stressed, running & rude personnel. It was such a chaos a waiter had put used plates in a pile next to the buffet food so people started taking food until they notice it was gross. Took 10 mins, 3 waiters and showing the manager to get 2 new clean plates. A waitress yelled at another guest for taking a cup from the cutlery / cup table. There was one nice waiter working in the outside area. Extra charge for cappuchino.
- no ironing board available for us to borrow at all. They referred to a ”pricelist in the room” for someone else to pick up a shirt to iron. There was no such list and it is ridiculous that one cannot iron a shirt for free in a 5 star hotel. When complaining about the cost first when it occured and then again at checkout (6 eur, it’s the principle rather than the sum) they would not back down, the most senior guy in the reception claimed ”there was nothing he could do about this policy”. We did get one of our cappuchinos off the bill.
