As you drive through the private gates up the paved driveway to the home, you'll note the careful landscaping on the grounds. Park either in the two-car garage (with Tesla EV charger) or outside. With room for 5 cars outside there's plenty of space for everyone.
The main level of the main house is accessed with just two steps, offering easy entry for everyone in your group. Enter through the solid oak door and walk through the foyer, and prepare to have your breath taken by the stunning interior. The great room features hardwood floors and soaring tongue & groove ceilings with impressive beams overhead. The double-sided stone gas log fireplace reaching all the way to the ceiling is the focal point of this room, along with the wall of windows overlooking the ever-changing mountain views. Leather furnishings are arranged around the fireplace and there's a large flatscreen TV mounted above.
On the other side of the fireplace you'll find a game room with a pool table as well as the staircase heading to the lower level. Downstairs is a second living area. This room offers comfortable leather seating, an electric fireplace, a TV, kitchenette, and a game area with foosball and a ping pong table.
The spacious kitchen is a chef's dream. Granite counters and a huge island, custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, Keurig, and a gas stovetop combine to create a perfect place for cooks of all skill levels. The dining table has room for up to 10 with additional seating for 5 at the island and 4 more at the breakfast table in the great room.
Banner Crest offers luxurious sleeping accommodations for everyone in your group. On the main level in the main house, you'll find a master bedroom with a King bed, TV, and sliding doors to the deck. Its private bathroom offers an oversized travertine tiled shower, a separate jetted bathtub, and marble double sinks with a makeup vanity in the middle. Downstairs you'll find three more bedrooms. Two suites each have a Queen bed with private tiled shower, and the third offers a twin-over-full bunk bed. There is a tiled tub/shower combination on the lower level for the common area and bunk room.
The guest house, located across the driveway from the main home, offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well. There are two King bedrooms on the main level with a tiled shower and double marble vanity. The upper level has a cozy kitchen, dining table for four, and a sofa with TV. The king suite on the upper level has a full bath with a tiled shower.
The outside spaces of Banner Crest feature unmatched recreation and relaxation options for everyone in your group. Both levels of the main house have expansive covered deck with multiple seating arrangements, and the main level deck includes an outdoor gas fireplace with patio tablel, providing a perfect place to relax during cooler evenings. Down a flight of stairs from the main house you'll find a heated in-ground swimming pool and a cabana deck with several chaise loungers and an outdoor couch. Shade yourself from the sun in the gazebo at the end of the deck and you'll have a bird's eye view of the tennis courts and basketball goal below (bring your favorite basketballs and tennis rackets & balls!) Across the driveway facing the house is a wooded park-like setting with a picnic table and in-ground stone fire ring, accessed by trail-style railroad tie stairs.
With everything Banner Crest offers, you may not ever wish to leave this spectacular home. If you do manage to tear yourself away, in less than five minutes you'll be in historic downtown Banner Elk where you'll find some of the region's most exclusive dining and shopping. Winter fun at Ski Beech and Sugar Mountain can be had just 15 minutes away, as well. Valle Crucis, Boone, and Blowing Rock are all under 45 minutes from this home.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Check In is after 5pm and Check Out is by 10am.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- Animals and pets of any kind are absolutely not permitted on or in the property under any circumstances. Thank you for not bringing animals to this home.
- This home is accessed by a paved road and driveway. The driveway has a moderate incline with a level parking area at the house. The driveway will be plowed after snowfalls, but guests visiting during winter months (November-April) should bring 4WD or AWD vehicles; and chains may be necessary during heavy snow.
- This home offers a Tesla EV charger in the garage.
- The heated pool is available and useable between Memorial Day and Labor Day only. It will be drained and covered outside of this season.
- Guests need to bring their own sports equipment for the tennis and basketball courts.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home has one exterior camera on the garage monitoring the parking area only, no other cameras are present at the property.
CANCELLATION POLICY:STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.
