“Good food great chef”

“It was a wonderful, yet too brief, one night stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our meal in the informal dining/pub options was nourishing and delicious. The room was clean, large, and bright. We were able to get a room facing back garden and with views. A big pot of tea and a freshly pressed coffee were very nice at breakfast. Local walks on the moor, and to the quarry & rocks and were fab.”

“Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers”

“Perfect idyllic spot with a beautiful, comfortable and luxurious Lodge. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat. ”

“Lovely owners who were very welcoming. Right in the middle of town and almost next door The Prince of Wales pub. Very good breakfast. Lovely room and nice comfy bed. Highly recommended.”

“Great location. Enjoyed the cooked breakfast.”

“Väldigt trevligt och mysig B6B, Pub, Restaurang combo. Rent och snyggt. God frukost. Bra säng och rent.”

“We travelled as a couple with our dog. From arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming and explained local walks (with a map) that we could do with our dog. The room was exceptionally well kept and clean with lovely finishes. We had a balcony looking out over lush gardens and we could hear the river flowing which was beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast both exceptionally and good value. The lounge area was lovely and great place to chill. For an old mill it looks so well kept and...

“Excellent location, spacious room, great breakfast, beautiful balcony with amazing views, and more importantly very nice and helpful staff 🙏👏”

“Fantastisk pub med mycket trevlig och vänlig personal. Det ligger långt ute på landet med få sevärdheter i närheten men det är absolut värt mödan att ta sig dit. Varm och vänlig atmosfär. Rummet spännande och bekvämt, fantastiska middagar och bra frukostar. Rekommenderas varmt!”

“Very comfortable bed, nice big window, decent sized room with good facilities. The owner was very happy to help with fresh milk delivered and good suggestions for local food places.”

“Vilket FANTASTISKT hotell. Jag är helt betagen av denna vistelse. Allt var fantastiskt; personalen, omgivningarna, utsikten, maten, rummet, afternoon tea, frukosten, vår fantastiska 3-rätters som visade sig bli en 7-rätters med alla smårätter vi fick in. Ska ni till dessa trakter MÅSTE ni bo på detta hotell. Det var FANTASTISKT!”

“Lovely English country house with a beautiful garden located right on Dartmoor so it’s a great starting point for exploring the area (I explored by foot only). The highlight of the hotel is its elegant and luxurious spa. Fabulous breakfast served. Lovely dinner options at The Blue Tiger. Spacious room and very comfortable bed. I would happily return! ”

“Very nice hotel in a good location. Newly refurbished. Nice and service minded personnel.”

“Trevligt på alla sätt men några detaljer ledningen behöver se över. Finns ingenstans överhuvudtaget att lägga sina kläder. Inte en enda låda. Anmärkningsvärt! Sängarna var så nerledande och ålderstigna att man låg som i en hängmatta. En dubbelsäng där man höjde sig 1 dm när man lade sig i mitten. Det är dålig kvalité på ett hotell med så hög standard i övrigt ”

“We were a little disappointed with our stay and are surprised by the number of positive comments. While our room itself was clean enough, the rest of the property would benefit from a serious deep clean. The carpets on the stairs were heavily ingrained with dirt. We were also surprised to find that the dining area was carpeted, which seems an unusual and impractical choice for a breakfast room. The carpet was very dirty and had a musty smell, and there were crumbs scattered around when we came...

“The best hotel without any doubt during our 10-day trip in south of England.”
