I am writing to share my deep disappointment regarding our recent stay at the Baymont, which was meant to be a special anniversary getaway for my mother, my sister, and myself.
Prior to our arrival, I had sent a message kindly requesting a quiet, top-floor room away from the elevator, in recognition of the occasion. Unfortunately, not only did I receive no reply to my message, but we were assigned a room that was the complete opposite of what we requested—low floor, directly beside the elevator, and in very poor condition.
After expressing my concerns at check-in, the front desk clerk (who was very kind and helpful) offered us a choice between two other rooms. I chose the best of the two, but unfortunately, both were still located next to the elevator. Later that evening, we discovered that the door lock to our room was broken and would not secure properly. This caused a great deal of discomfort and anxiety, especially as three women traveling in a different country with no working phone in the room. We had a very poor night’s sleep due to not feeling safe.
As a Wyndham owner, I had high expectations based on the brand’s standards and the high online rating shown when I booked. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect that level of quality or care.
Very disappointing and after writing the manager of the property expressing my concerns politely, I received no reply. Don’t stay here!!!
