“This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....

“Underbart lugnt, vi bodde i rum 161 med utsikt mot parken och vackra körsbärsträd, pergola, damm och en fin uteplats utanför rummet. Härligt rymligt rum, bra wifi och härliga toalett produkter. Vi besökte Leeds Castle och vi promenerade i den ljuvliga parken med blommor och träd, den botaniska trädgården med exotiska växter och plantor. Området och orterna i Kent vackra som i en dagbok. Gå in i slottet och upplev historien, allt är mycket välbeskrivet och trevligt.”

“Totally loved our room, gym, swimming pool and the dove soap, shampoo and conditioner was amazing. The cleanibg staff very helpful and polite.The only thing was paying for parking for guests it should be made free. And by the way loved the art work on the wall. ”

“From the moment we arrived all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was of a good size, lovely views and very clean. We had an evening meal in the dining room, which was of excellent quality. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely. We were not disappointed, in fact Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. The grounds, including the country club, it’s worth walking around. The Ashdown Forest is a very beautiful setting , lots of walks.”

“Ok hotel for a stopover. As always expensive food with little soul. Nice hard beds (if you like that, I do) and was upgraded free of charge. Very convenient as access to motorway is very close. Ideal for vehicles towing a trailer as parking space is big.”
