Found this bridge while exploring. It used to be a railroad bridge, transformed to a buggy bridge, and not after restoration is a walking path bridge. It stretches over a hundred feet and while walking you can still see the old railroad and boards for the buggy.
Historic bridge that has stood over the Des Moines River since 1882. It used to be a crossing for automobiles until the later 20th century and is now used as a pedestrian bridge.
The Mason House Inn is a historic hotel along the Des Moines River, built in 1846-the same year Iowa became a state. It has a reputation of numerous hauntings and has become a popular destination for paranormal thrill seekers. Much of the town of Bentonsport is said to be haunted. #localgem

The host was very helpful, caring, accommodating too! The cabin was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels, wifi worked great. I recommend for a little retreat at any time of year.
