“Great accommodation, the pool and games room were perfect for our young teens. Lovely local area, the chip shop was the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. We visited Clovelly and the near by waterpark, both were well worth the visit. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again”

“We stayed from 25th Aug-1st Sept. The property totally exceeded our expectations which were extremely high. The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. I cannot recommend this property...

“Delightful accommodation with plenty of space to for our three generations and what a location. Had not known about Appledore before we went but its just perfect, would definitely reccomend, from the rockpooling and crabbing opportunities with the kids to wandering down to the Coffee Cabin first thing and simply enjoying the holiday atmosphere and estuary views. We finshed with a meal at the Beaver Inn (book early as its busy)- really nice pub. Oh, and not forgetting the Devonshire ice cream...

“We arrived in Appledore and found the most enchanting place to stay, right on the quay side. Everyone in Appledore was friendly and just behind our property there was a fish and chip shop opposite a pub, and we were aloud to eat our dinner in the pub. Back at the property, 2 great sized bedrooms, a good sized bathroom and downstairs ample room for us to either sit with a meal and watch the passing holiday makers or sit and read a book or watch a film in the other room, well equipped kitchen....

“Friendly welcome. Lovely 3 x 1 hr private hot tub/sauna sessions. Lovely arrival treats. Considering we paid such a small amount for a 3 night stay on a bank holiday weekend it was much better than our expectations. We just wanted a clean bed and some basic facilities but we got so much more. Little touches like robes and salt and pepper was great. The kitchen had all the equipment we could possible need. Plenty of storage and the grounds were beautiful. Thanks for a great stay”

Riversmeet is well appointed and furnished, with plenty of storage space, and is perfectly located to take advantage of the comings and goings of the tide, the glorious sunsets, the boats and the many dogs and their walkers on the beach, all from your sofa. We never saw or heard about a visit from a parking warden and people seem to park on the road regardless but we bought a week's parking from the Commodore Hotel, just a few minutes walk away, which...
