“Trevligt boende nära stranden med trevlig personal. Nära tågstationen. Rum i typisk lite äldre engelsk standard. Bekväm säng och bra med kuddar. Bra wifi. Bra TV utbud då man kunde streama det man ville via BBC iPlayer. Fanns andra alternativ som jag inte testade också.”

“Room dirty, bathroom more dirty, the loo was DIRTY! GUEST cleaned the toilet. Made staff aware of the dirty room. No proper reaction. Managers answer became that they would clean the room NEXT DAY! We checked out immediately. This establishment cannot be recommended and should not belong in any booking services!!”

“Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.”

“The best part of our stay was the view of the coast! We had a room overlooking the promenade in Eastbourne, and waking up to sunshine and a calm sea was well worth the price. Beds were OK, the shower typical English. We booked late and did not have breakfast included; however, during check-out they told us that it was. Somewhat disappointing not getting the information upon arrival. Overall, the hotel was what you expect from a 3 Star hotel, not more, not less.”

From the housekeeping to the management, nothing was ever too much trouble, even though they were extremely busy due to the location and it being the centre of the village, they still made a point of seeking you out, asking about your day and chatting as much as their schedules would allow.
