During check-in, we tried to use the kiosk, and it didn't work. Then we checked in at the desk, which was fine.
This is my first time staying at the Horsehoe hotel and the description of room did not match what we got. On Expedia, I booked a junior double queen suite. Online, it said it there would be two queen beds, a sleeper couch, a ceiling fan. The only thing that was correct was the double queen beds. They state nothing about having more space or a Juliette balcony. Had I have known that, I wouldn't have paid so much more and would have gotten a regular double queen. The price difference was insane.
My friends stayed on a different level than I did; they didn't need to scan their key card to get to level 5, but I needed to scan mine to get to level 6. After checking in, my key card didn't work for me to get to the correct level.
I know that checkout was at 11AM. I had stepped out of my room, leaving my bags and belongings in there, knowing that I could go back into my room to grab them, to meet up with my friends for breakfast. I go back to my room around 1020AM, and my key card was not working. I had to go back down to the desk to let them know that I still needed to go back into my room for my things and my card wasn't working. I told them I was aware of checkout time, but why was my key card deactivated? They couldn't explain and just said they'd reset it for me. I paid for the time so I should get it.
The entire stay was a mess. Will not be booking here again.
