Top of the mountain…Located on the top of Appalachian Ski Mountain with wide ranging 180˚ views and a gently sloping useable yard! From stunning sunrises and distant mountaintops to starry skies and the lights of Boone & Asu campus you will be amazed at the views from morning through night! The large wraparound porch is the perfect place to enjoy the cool breezes and those amazing views.  There is an outdoor dining table, plenty of seating, a gas grill and a 2-person hot tub with spectacular views!  A large grassy yard off the back porch is perfect spot for kids or pets to enjoy. This location provides easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, all just minutes away and the quiet, welcoming neighborhood with paved roads provides a great place for a peaceful walk. 

 

Top to bottom…Attention to detail. This open floor plan offers mountain views from nearly every room.  On the main level you will find the comfortable living room with stone gas log fireplace, dining area with seating for 8, open kitchen with granite countertops and stainless appliances, and a full bathroom.  Also on this level is the spacious master suite complete with sitting area, TV, private bathroom, and access to the deck. Downstairs you will find a large tiled den with pool table, sitting area with large flatscreen TV, sleeper sofa, gas log heating system, and access to the gently sloping grassy yard. A guestroom with a queen bed and another with 4 sturdy, log twin bunk beds share a bathroom on this level.

Pet Rules: 

Pets allowed with approval - a maximum of 2 dogs under 25 lbs or one dog under 40 lbs. 

Your dog(s) must be fully housetrained and current on vaccinations and Flea & Tick preventative; cannot be left loose or unattended at any time; must be crated if you leave them home alone, crate(s) not supplied; pets are not allowed on the furniture and you must clean up any hair in the home upon your departure; Please make sure to clean up the yard after your dogs; if there is a hot tub, dogs are not allowed in it. There is a non refundable and taxable pet fee per dog.

The Neighborhood:

Top Notch is set in the neighborhood of beautiful App Ski Mountain, near downtown Blowing Rock and minutes to Boone! Please note in the winter months there may be snow on the road even if we have not had any natural snow. When Appalachian Ski Mountain makes snow it drifts onto the roads in this area. It is best to always be in a 4wd in the winter months.



Getting Around:

***During the winter season, 4WD vehicles are required for this cabin from Thanksgiving-March 31st. If you are within these dates please make sure all guests have 4WD vehicles or are able to obtain a 4WD vehicle prior to the stay.
