âThe manor house is fantastic, really beautiful gardens and surroundings. It is basically in the middle of nowhere, but very close to Chester and to UK's largest outlet. It is a perfect retreat in the English countryside! The hotel restaurant is very priceworthy, good value and nice service. Breakfast was also really good!â
âWe love staying here and use it when we are visiting our daughter at Uni. It's an ideal location and we are only a few minutes walk from the bars and restaurants for the evening . It's also super close to the racecourse if people are visiting for that. The rooms are finished to a high standard and offer a comfy relaxed stay. â
âLovely welcoming staff nothing was too much touble. Cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast was made fresh to order . We enjoyed our stay and would love to go again.â
âThe room had a lot of spiders (dead and alive as welll, and spider webs everywhere. Could you see them more properly when the lights were on and you saw them going from the lamps to the ceiling and between the desk and the wall.
When they cleaned the room they left stains on the sheets.
Breakfast was mediocre, there was no fresh vegetables and the only vegetables they did have were fried mushrooms or baked tomatoes

âThe hotel is very convenient both to arrive by car (close to the M53) or by train. I arrived from London by train and it's only a 10 minute walk from Hooton station. I received a warm welcome and was shown to my room, which was in an annexe to the main building, overlooking the garden. The service was friendly, professional and efficient, the room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom. â
âReally nice and updated hotel. Good location. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Busses, train, hop on hop off sightseeing right on the doorstep. Easy to parkâ
âGreat hotel. Had a nice upgrade. The room had a comfy bed and was very clean. There was an ac unit in the bedroom which helped cool the room down. The only thing was the shower pressure was very low and cut out a couple of times. â
âOur stay was perfect. We were away for a romantic trip and the cottage was perfect for that. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. â
âThe ten pound parking charge on arrival was a big surprise,apparently it was mentioned on the site we booked with but was in such small letters we missed it just be aware this is a price per night. We have stayed here before and chose it because it was a five minute walk into the centre of Chester and it was just as good as our last visit. The staff from the carpark attendant, reception,cleaning and dining room where all great to deal with polite positive and very helpful. The hotel was well...
