“Very lovely cottage. Safe and secure parking at the back. Located on the main road, but well insulated with double glazing from road noise. A short walk to local grocery shop (had fresh fruit and vegetables, and bacon and sausages from a local butcher), cafe, and 2 pubs, plus a great general store (Morgans) which was a life saver when we ran out of calpol and the local pharmacy was closed! All facilities available to make food at home, and i easily managed a home cooked easter sunday roast...

“Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. Lovely gardens to explore and the hot tub was a definite plus later at night! This property is so peaceful and with stunning views, yet only a 10 minute drive from Bridport”

“Charmouth is a lovely small town and this cottage is the perfect way to experience it. The beach and fossil hunting were our favorite activity. The few shops and restaurantants were lovely...exactly the peaceful holiday I wanted for my family.”

“Perfect venue for a cosy week catching up with friends, we had been looking for somewhere large enough for all 10 of us to get together, play board games and have a film night! This was perfect! The dining table accomodated us all, as did the sofa! We also did all our own cooking and found the kitchen to be well equiped, (far more so than some professional kitchens weve used!) Will definitely be keeping this saved for future catch ups!!”

“The property is located on a site which includes a hotel and a group of small private homes. None of which is a negative. The area is very quiet, but you definitely need a car. The surrounding area is sensationally beautiful and well worth a visit and we enjoyed our trips out very much. The property itself was disappointing. “I stayed here for 4 weeks after separation from my wife whilst I found a property. Sara and Simon are excellent hosts, always stop what they was doing to chat. The property is lovely and spotless clean. The welcome basket was a lovely addition. I would recommend this place to anyone looking. ”

“Chalet/bungalow type property on a small estate of similar properties. Lovely and quiet, ample parking. No amenities onsite, although there is a hotel there and you would need to book to eat there - we asked to pop in for a drink and they said no, we're too busy and short staffed!! Odd way to treat a perspective customer! Its a short drive or walk into charmouth for pub/fish n chips, shop and chemist. The chalet itself was lovely, tastefully decorated and good quality fixtures and fittings, ...

“A splendid and restful week in a beautiful part of the country. Amanda was a very friendly and helpful host when needed. We had great weather so the beaches were our main draw, Hive beach at Burton Bradstock was our favourite, we enjoyed Bridport particularly the Olive Tree restaurant. The drive to Abbottsbury was beautiful when we took the opportunity to visit the Tropical Gardens, beautiful plants and has a very good (and popular) cafe. Overall a really enjoyable and restful stay.”
