âThe Tennyson Room (Room 5) was beautiful. The view was stunning, there were no irritations (wonky toilet seats, blown light bulbs, badly scratched paintwork etc.) at all. The receptionist was a great guy - good for a laugh and engaging. Breakfast excellent.
Believe me - we are coming back it was superb. I have no connections with this place at all. It was so much better than the top of the range place we stayed at in Anglesey 2 weeks ago and cost ÂŁ70 less.

âItâs on the road to the lake, just outside Ambleside Our room was clean and well appointed. There are no reception staff - but very clear instructions regarding access to the property are sent to you before arrival and further information is provided in the room. We were here for one night and it was ideal for our short stay. â

âHotel changed my room to a lodge due to health reasons as a last minute. Couldnt have been any more greatful. The views and grounds were stunning. The staff where great and attentive. Cleaner added extra coffee and milk for 2nd night which was also a great and tidied the room to a high standard. Room was dated, however this added to the overall experience of peace and tranquilitiy which is what i was looking for.
****Highly recommend this hotel and will be visiting again ***â

âHad the most amazing stay at Elder Grove. The owners were super friendly and very service minded. The room was very tidy and clean and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning. Great location, calm and no traffic. Can't wait to visit again.â

âHelt otroligt lyxigt och mysigt hotell! Vi fick ett fint rum, tillgĂ„ng till en hĂ€rligt gym och ett fantastiskt spa med olika behandlingar. En av de bĂ€sta hotellutsikter jag nĂ„gonsin sett, precis vid sjön med en fin utsikt över bergen. VĂ€ldigt bra vandringsmöjligheter.â

âVĂ€ldigt fint boende i Lake District. Nackdelen för vĂ„r vistelse Ă€r dock rummet intill dĂ€r en familj pĂ„ minst 7 hade tryckt in sig i ett 4 bĂ€ddsrum. Barnen skrek och gormade. SlĂ€ngde igen dörren. Sprang till toaletten utanför oss och slĂ€ngde igen den sĂ€kert minst 200 gĂ„nger pĂ„ en kvĂ€ll/natt. Och det Ă€r utan överdrift kan jag sĂ€ga. NĂ€r jag lyfte till personalen om det hĂ€r knackade de pĂ„ men gjorde inget större av saken. PĂ„grund av det hĂ€r blev det vĂ€ldigt, vĂ€ldigt lite sömn under den natten. Dagen...

âBeautiful house,very clean and I saw them cleaning the room after we left and it was very thorough. Food superb and substantial with canapes and sorbet mouth cleansers we could not finish a substantial main course and no room for desert.

âThe room included parking and breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good location for Ambleside and getting the boats to other parts of the lake. Lovely clean room, good bed and bedding. Breakfast was hot and cold buffet and very good as were the evening meals.â
