âPerfect place for a getaway. We were warmly welcomed by the host who straight away recommended places to go for dinner. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the countryside. We had a full English cooked for us which was spot on as we departed to climb scafell. We definitely would stay at this hotel again when we next visit the lakes â

SlĂ€ngde igen dörren. Sprang till toaletten utanför oss och slĂ€ngde igen den sĂ€kert minst 200 gĂ„nger pĂ„ en kvĂ€ll/natt. Och det Ă€r utan överdrift kan jag sĂ€ga. NĂ€r jag lyfte till personalen om det hĂ€r knackade de pĂ„ men gjorde inget större av saken. PĂ„grund av det hĂ€r blev det vĂ€ldigt, vĂ€ldigt lite sömn under den natten. Dagen...
âGot a last minute deal and was then upgraded. Very comfy bed, quiet room wifi worked well , refurbished shower hot and strong. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Minimal staff tried hard and very friendly. â

âThe stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere.
The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets.
All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. â
âVisable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry.
Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left.
It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but...
