On this site from 1800-1900 Shakers called this beautiful farm home. raising cattle, making wooden furniture, and preaching. This was their lake and wall to partition their land from the next farm. This is a wonderful village, vibrant with artisans during the summer where you can learn crafts, buy locally made products, and participate in events. It’s a very old hotel. Room was very clean upon arrival. I stayed for a few days I requested housekeeping but never came. Requested clean towels but never came.
