“The perfect location for a stay in the Peak District, with arguably the best view from a pub garden anywhere in the UK? Perfect for a family of four, with all rooms well furnished and a generous kitchen and lounge set up. Great for self-catering, but the food in the pub downstairs was good stuff. Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are all inside a 20-minute drive, and you can simply pop hiking boots on and start over the back fence of the beer garden for a good walk. “Lovely apartment with a very comfy bed . Area is beautiful and with the mill being next to the Monsal trail the position was perfect for us. Good games room available for anyone not tired enough after walking and the apartment had smart to if you just want to chill. Only a couple of things that stopped this being a 5 star rating for us. Firstly the two sofas are very uncomfortable so not good for relaxing on and secondly the windows could not be opened due to a fault which the owner knew about....

“The apartment had everything necessary, except a working elevator. As we were on an extended tour, we had three suitcases which had to be carried up many, many flights of stairs. We tried to fit a key into a lock on a door which we later learned was a "decorative", non-working knob. The decor was lovely, the location was ideal, and I am sure if we were hikers, this apartment would have been a fine fit, but not for old people or people with heavy luggage.”
