The pictures give an unreal impression of the place. Yes it is ok, but the photos make it appear more than that. I wouldn’t recommend it as a place for children, the outdoor area is quite small and unsafe. River pebbles are not ideal for sloping pathways or outdoor steps. Access from street front not ideal, very steep grass covered to front gate. Door knob on main access to family area had fallen off, back door access ‘step’ is too high and dangerous to use. Place needs work. Expected more for the price. As I said, it’s ok, and cant give it any more than that.

Wonderful house with plenty of room for relaxation. House was a little cold, blankets would have been great and a few extra towels. It would be a nice gesture of the owners to provide a minimum amount of essentials like coffee pods, long life milk, cling wrP etc. We certainly enjoyed our stay and loved the front balcony.

The real estate agent was excellent but there is a need to keep tabs on the safety aspects of the house and inform the owner. The cleaner needs to do a better job of cleaning as it was very dusty and it made me question how clean the bed linen was. For the owner: Rather than focusing on creating a pretty garden, fix the structural elements of the house first. Bathroom window didn't lock which was a safety concern, back door was hard to lock, and one of the heavy timber kitchen doors that was loose and hanging on an angle came off its hinge and narrowly missed falling on my foot. The step rail at the front door entrance was completely rotted and not actually attached to the post. This is a significant issue to be fixed immediately. The back door step wasn't that stable to step on. The owner of the property needs to consider the holiday people where tradies have been hired to work outside and around the house. They had more to do than just a small patch in the backyard. It was full and very busy on when we arrived. We had no back entrance because the tradies had parked their trailer and cars there and we had to lug our luggage up a rather steep incline. The tradies helped us with our luggage which was a very nice gesture. The owner also needs to be mindful of not putting the real estate agents in an awkward position, who were very generous and gave us a voucher for the inconvenience of having tradies arrive on a day the estate agents were not aware of. They were told the day after we were due to arrive but were there the day we arrived and on the Saturday. Not the tradie's fault as they were backlogged with work due to the rain. Overall, the house is in a great location and has a wonderful ambience and character about it.

Great location, easy walking distance to beach and town. Fab cafe across the road. Plenty of space for all to chill and enjoy. Would happily stay again.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! The house was the perfect size for all 8 of us. Great location, easy walk to the beach. Only thing to mention is that the house is located up a slight hill and getting up to the entrance (especially with luggage) was a bit difficult Definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back!

Lovely spacious house with an old world charm sitting just above the the oval. Easy walk into town and Clarke’s beach. Several outdoor areas to relax in and listen to the birds, frogs, crickets and ocean. Garden and hinterland vista from front veranda. Agent very helpful after storm had shorted tv antenna and we had access to cricket ASAP! Highly recommended.

Had a really great stay! The house is spacious and has a fantastic balcony out the front where you can watch some wonderful sunsets. The location is probably one of the best in Byron, right next to Topshop which is a fantastic cafe, and a really close walk to the pass which is great to surf and swim. Check in and communication was super easy, the kitchen is well stocked, and enough bathrooms to feel comfortable with a large group. Highly recommend!
