  • Villa Colombai är den bästa platsen för familj eller grupp av vänner som vill besöka de viktigaste sevärdheterna i Toscana, på grund av dess strategiska läge bara 5 km långt från den höga vägen ansluter Florens, Pisa, Lucca och andra viktiga städer. Det är den perfekta platsen till vem vill koppla spendera tid runt sin stora pool med bubbelpool systemet, en stor trädgård, en vacker veranda bredvid grillen och köket. Njut av vin och olivolja som produceras inte långt från villan eller den typiska maten i vårt område är Orentano är stad känd särskilt för pizza (pizza festival juni-juli), för degen (bakverk festival augusti) och för den typiska toskanska uppfödda kokta efter gammal tradition i en vedeldad ugn. Wonderful and Special Week in Tuscany

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Villa Colombai. My family, five adult children and I, who all traveled from different parts of the US, just ended a dream vacation at Villa Colombai to celebrate a milestone birthday. The villa was well equipped and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and peaceful and sits on a large piece of property with a big grassy area, pool, garden and many spots for us to hang out. Stefano was an incredible host. He was friendly and personable and went above and beyond to make our week perfect from booking to the end of our stay. He was very responsive, gave us recommendations on things to do, restaurants, helped us to plan them, made reservations, and arranged transportation if he was unable to drive us to our activities. He even took us grocery shopping when we arrived. We toured Siena, went wine tasting, and had an incredible and fun day truffle hunting, which I highly recommend. He took us to and from the airport, and even took my son on an unexpected trip to retrieve his lost luggage. He arranged a pizza workshop at the villa and worked alongside Luigi, who is hilarious, to help each of us to make our own pizzas. Our last night was the highlight of our trip. Fabrizio, a private chef, made us an incredible meal at the villa where we dined al fresco. Each course was delicious, beautifully presented and the best meal we had while in Tuscany. I could not have had a more special birthday celebration.

Top notch villa with heated pool

Fantastic large Tuscany villa with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and extra space. Excellent outdoor facilities with heated pool, ping pong table, fussball and more. Very friendly and helpful owner of the villa and easy logistics. Great location in a nice and calm village. Easy to reach Pisa, Firenze, Viareggio, wineries, great restaurants, the sea and more! I highly recommend this propoerty to anyone! Especially good for large companies of 10-12 people, including kids.

The villa was well located, very comfortable and very well equipped.

This was our second stay at Villa Colombia. All three families had a wonderful time and took advantage of all the facilities on offer.Once again Stefano was on hand to help us with any problems.We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa any family.

Fantastic location, beautiful house, great pool and outdoor area. Perfect for family groups.

The house is spacious and there is a lovely outdoor eating area where we ate all our meals. The pool is very large and immaculately kept. The outdoor area is very large and includes table tennis, a 5 aside football pitch and some slides and climbing equipment suitable for the toddler set. Inside there is a small but well equipped kitchen, a sitting room complete with drawing table for the kids and a formal dining room. The first floor has a double and a twin room which share a bathroom and a double with ensuite. The top floor has another twin, a double and a smaller room in the middle with 2 more twin beds. It's a short walk (5-10mins) into Orentano which is a lovely village with several great restaurants and a cafe/ bar serving coffee and pastries and ice cream. We saw very few other tourists and not much English was spoken which we loved! It's easy to drive to a supermarket in Altoapascio and pick up everything you need. Stefano, the owner of the villa, is fantastic and happy to advise on what ever you need. He's also a great tour guide and offers a lot of different options and is very flexible. The highlight for us was the pizza making night which was a lot of fun for adults and kids ranging from 2-72! It was expensive - but totally worth it! I'd highly recommend staying here and we hope to return in a few years!

Beautiful property and fantastic pool

The house was full of character and very spacious for ten of us. We spend most of our time by the pool which was perfect for our children whose ages range from 3 to 11. The nearby village has great restaurants and, shapes and cafes. We had a lovely relaxing week and would have loved to have stayed longer. Stefan was very friendly and helpful.

Nice place

It was a verry beauty holliday. The pizza-evening was greet. The beds in the 1. floor (not parentsroom with bad) is squeal verry much. The sleeping accommodation was troublesome. But the rest was verry OK. We engjoyd the time in the Villa Colombai verry much. Love regards Ingrid

Tuscany Property with all conveniences

It was the second time that wie have made holidays in this beautiful Villa. That Land is Frances all around, so our dog could always move Frevels and there was no other dog get on the land. It was so nice from Stefano (the owner) that he fanced the pool. It was also safe for our little son. Inside of the Villa ist history and it doesn`t matter how hot it is outside, the thick walls keep the heat away. But if you need aircondition there is a realy powerful one in the villa. But there are more reasons why we came back to Villa Colombai. For us, the most important reason is the owner Stefano! He is very frendly, helpful and offers many individual opportunities (Pasta-Workshop, Private-Dinner, City tours and so on. Everytime we had a question we asked Stefano, he was always available and helped immediately. It`s always quiet outside, so we could listen to the birds wilst we had our breakfast. No we have to wait till 2017...we are looking forward having vacations there again. Greetings to Stefano! Frank and Family

Amazing villa, tranquil location, close to ameneities

This is a fantastic villa with everything we needed and more. For our first excursion aboard with a baby grandson in tow we could not have wished for better- facilities both inside and outside the villa are extensive and well maintained. The villa itself is beautiful. There is ample space for effectively at least 3 families whilst everyone still has space to 'do their own thing'. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance but not close enough to interfere with the tranquility of the location. Our stay was enhanced by the willingness of the owner to help us choose excursions and best places to visit- being available whilst not intruding into our holiday. He recommended a brilliant visit to a local vineyard for wine tasting, tour and 'light' Italian lunch and also a local village restaurant 'Da Benita' - an excellent evening meal and very accommodating of a young baby. We have stayed in numerous villas as a family in Italy, Spain and Portugal and we decided this was the best ever and would be happy to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much, Stefano, for making this a very memorable family holiday.

Perfect time in Villa Colombai in Orentano Tuscany

We (6 adults) had a wonderful 5-day stay at the Villa Colombai. Perfectly equipped, great facilities , very tidy, delicious Restaurants quite close and not to forget the best-in-class Information and Organization "Center" Stephano! We will definitely recommend this property !

Canadian Family Italian Vacation

I think everything about the property that can be said has been, we have only to say that we would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a terrific place to stay while in Tuscany. Our group of 12 ranged in age from 2 to almost 70. Stefano and Anna were absolutely fantastic and went well beyond what we would have expected to make this a trip we will never forget. We could not have had the experience we did with out their help. In our 2 weeks we went to Rome, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terra, Lucca, San Gimignano and more. We also took the pizza workshop with Stefano and Pizza Chef Guido Buoncristiani and enjoyed a beautiful meal at the villa with Chef Fabrizio. We took in the community Pizza Festival in Orentano and had a wonderful night of food, wine and dancing. Hard to say what we enjoyed the most since it was all terrific. We are looking forward to trying what we learned at the pizza class back in Canada. Not sure it will taste as good. Stefano also set up and joined us at 2 wine tours, one at Capezzana with all of us and one with our son and daughter in law at Chianti Classico. They were both fantastic trips and Stefano's knowledge of the area and the wines was extremely helpful. Highly recommend this if you have time. Surprising to us was how great the meals were that we had right in Orentano. We had a great dinner at da Benito Pizzeria and several terrific meals at De Vito Pizza at both places english only was not an issue and the prices were great. We also started most days with a walk to Panatton for a morning pastry and espresso or cappacino. They are all with in walking distance from the villa. We can honestly say we never had a bad or even average meal the entire time we were away. We have been back for a few weeks now and miss it very much already. You will not meet nicer people and we are recommending this property to all of our friends and family. Thanks Stefano and Anna for a terrific experience. I hope we make it back.

Fantastic Stay, Highly Recommend!

We highly recommend Villa Colombai! We had a group of 10 people, including toddlers, teenagers, middle aged and retired people, and there was something for everyone. We all had a fantastic stay! The layout of the villa is just great and it is very clean. The outdoor area and pool for adults and children is perfect, and the property is very safe for kids to run around with lots to do. Stefano was so accomodating and friendly, and was there for anything we needed. He even personally took some of us on a wine tour and it was the experience of a lifetime. Also the location is great, and we were able to drive quickly to Pisa and then took the train into Florence (train station is real easy drive and plenty of parking). If we had more days we could have explored so much more and many more hill towns within a quick drive. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this villa to anyone that wants to stay in Tuscany and explore!

Beautiful villa, perfectly located.

The listing doesn't fully do this property justice. It is even more impressive than the photos - only 35 minutes drive from Pisa airport and within easy drives of some excellent day trips such as Florence, Lucca, Monte Carlo and some amazing little Tuscan hillside towns and wineries. The owner, Stefano, made great efforts to ensure we got all that we wanted out of our stay - we had very early flights into Pisa so he allowed us to relax poolside whilst the villa was prepared for us from the previous guests and even took the trouble to book us a table at the local trattoria (Benitos - well worth a visit for steak lovers). The booking process was very simple and he was extremely prompt and helpful in getting back to us over any questions we had. The property was spotlessly clean and we were left to our own devices during our week's stay. The rooms are all of a good size - my only "negative" feedback on them would be that only the second floor rooms were air conditioned, and that the settings on that were such that it turned off after a few seconds - I suspect we just needed a tutorial on how to use it, but it could perhaps be pre-set to stay on for longer as some of the guests were finding the nights uncomfortably warm. Fans were provided for the other rooms - on the whole this was only a minor niggle and one I'm sure Stefano will attend to. The kitchen is a decent size and well equipped, and the big marble outdoor seating area is a lovely setting for evening meals. The communal lounge area comfortably sits 9 round the TV! The garden and pool area is beautiful - plenty of loungers and deck chairs for sitting round the large pool, with the occasional sound of distant church bells adding to the serene atmosphere! There are large grounds around the pool - a small kids okay area is perfect for toddlers and when we visited, even a small football pitch as well as table tennis and fussball tables. The villa is on the edge of a fairly small village - there are neighbouring properties but they are not imposing. There are a couple of small shops and a couple of restaurants in the village which are an easy walk away. The little pizzeria also served really delicious pizzas and pastas at a really reasonable price and was staffed by really friendly servers. A car is definitely needed if intending to explore the surroundings - there are a few mid-sized supermarkets in Alto Pascio (sp) about a 10 minute drive away. All in all a great location - thanks from us all, Stefano!

Fantastic 5-star property

What a truly incredible place this is. A small group (5 adults) went for a week with our 2 dogs to celebrate my husband's and I 10th anniversary. Stefano was always quick to respond to our queries prior to our visit and was just as quick when we were on site. The Villa is stunning with every possible amenity you could wish for. The pasta making class was a hoot and I am no longer intimidated to try making pasta at home. The dogs had the best vacation of their lives running around what seemed an endless (and totally fenced in) yard. We enjoyed exploring some of the nearby villages, had two wonderful meals at Benito's in town and did a bit of hiking in the nearby forests. Perhaps the best part was our final night and the celebration of our anniversary in which Fabrizio came to cook. We had an outstanding meal with some fantastic wines -- it really was perfection and we won't soon forget our 10th anniversary. Everyone had a great time and have said this vacation was like a dream. Well, we loved it so much we've already booked our return visit. Thanks so much to Stefano for sharing this incredible place in a gorgeous part of Tuscany.
