“Great location and great communication with property managers! Would say again!”

“We are group of 35 women who have gathered for the past 23 years to eat, drink, craft and enjoy each other. This was our first time staying here and it was perfect! Plenty of room to spread out, visit, puzzle, play games, sit in the sun and all eat together in the dining room. The rooms were plenty large to sleep 4-6 people in each one. The location was perfect…walking distance to the cute town and plenty wineries to drive to as well! And the beach was about a 5 minute drive. We will be back...

“We were very impressed by the property, its location, and amenities. The check-in process was well documented and easy. The host communicated the right information at the right time. The location had private parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We really liked having our own 'suite' for each couple and a nice outdoor space to gather. Just steps from the Santa Cruz pier and the Beach Boardwalk and a short walk to downtown we didn't have to drive the entire weekend. The check-out process...

“Perfect in every way. Location: a few block walk to Twin Lakes beach. House had it all…very clean, all amenities, hot tub, kitchen fully equipped, bathroom toiletries, etc. Attentive host. Highly recommend”

“Beautiful, large Spanish-style villa in nice neighborhood, near Spanish Bay. Beds very comfortable and well appointed. Nice putting green and fire-pit in yard. Kitchen and baths all worked well. On the negative side, we found the garbage in the back to be overflowing onto the ground, and the Green Egg barbecue was not prepared to use. I had to clean it out in order to use it.”

“Our family of 12 spent two weeks during the Christmas holidays in this home and we all enjoyed and loved every inch of this place. The rooms are comfortable. There is more than enough space for big groups to enjoy both together and apart. The adults and the kids alike loved the mini golf, pool tables and the fire pit. The arcade game was a hit. What a breathtaking view particularly on New Year’s Eve! We highly recommend this home.”

“We had an excellent time at the Ranch Almaden the video you see on YouTube does not do it justice. We had about 30 people attend our 10 year wedding anniversary and all of my guests felt they were at a far away luxury destination. We used the pool and Spa and all was great, we will be reserving this location again.”

“The house is conveniently located between Big Sur and Carmel by the Sea. It was incredibly spacious and the views were amazing! Keep a lookout for otters down below. Like previous reviews expressed, it was very outdated. There was also too much chlorine in the hot tub to be user friendly.”

“The house although beautiful and well built was in pretty rough shape. The AC, hotter, ice maker and appliances did not work. Gate didn't work, we were able to patch it together.”

“The couch is not very comfortable for sleeping. The internet was down for our three day stay. Cell service is minimal at best. All that aside, the place is beautiful and the river is a nice teat. Ride the steam train while you are there.”
