This family was great from the very start they had the master plan of having a great time during their stay in the area, taking full advantage of the trails, and the local cuisine, from Chesterton to New Buffalo, which included a number of great meals, after which relaxation came very easy as they fully unwinded and enjoyed the comfort of their space, awaiting the next day’s adventures. It was refreshing to have wonderful extended family guests come in and get right into the Dunes experience, the trails minutes from their living quarters, the cool waters of the Lake Michigan beaches, food and local fun for the entire family to take advantage of, and at the end of their adventurous day, return to the comfort of 1541, for a relaxing and refreshing evening. The “lower level” at 1541 is an all around efficient next level designed space, and we apologize for your inconvenience, “as our guests comfort is our top priority”, that’s why we make every effort to ensure we keep each residential space at a central temperatures around 68o -69o degrees F in summer, yet we know that the comfort level may very from person to person; so we make sure our guests packet includes gas fire place operation’s information and this is always available for our guests comfort in the event they prefer additional warmth at anytime; as the fireplace will heat the entire space in minutes; even as the central system adjustments are being made in a very timely manner when notified or requested. It was great having this wonderful family as they came off the highway, to driveway, and straight to the bike trails which was a great choice as it is always full of nature at its best; and there was always something new for this family of adventure and fun to dive into including the Great Lake off of one of the many dunes beaches, and great food at every turn. Bill was the best! Self motivated and running on the first day as he took on the local winter season which turned out not to so bad during his stay, which allowed him more time to exercise his way all across the Dune’s area, while also leaving him plenty of time to plan for his future marriage and spend time with family enjoying the local treats and traditions. We are grateful for all wonderful couples who are down to earth and good genuine people, which is just who these two are “great individuals.” We have to let these two know we relished in the joy of having the honor of hosting them during their 28th anniversary celebration, which by the way they are showing no signs of slowing down, as they are well on pace to everlasting love. They took full advantage of their time in the Dunes, from the gourmet food, trail adventures, to gazing across the GreatLake well into the sunset hours. Wonderful to host such a wonderful family, it was indeed a pleasure on our part, Tamera and family took the bull by the horns and never looked back. They road full speed ahead stopping only long enough to enjoy the refreshing beaches of the Dunes National state Park, and of course to water the bull; then off again to many other local attractions and food spots along the way. It was great to have this “mature” younger Group of friends spending time together at 1541, we were impressed by the level of discipline and self control displayed during their stay, the cooking also certainly didn’t go unnoticed, because the herbs and spices resonated throughout like a 5-star chef was in the building preparing the meals, and they kept the place in tip top shape, it was like we didn’t know they were around until dinner time; they earned a spot in our 1541book of VIP family members worthy of gold key card status anytime they are ready to return for sun, fun and relaxation at their Great Lakes Escape. Guest was Ideal, the one that every owner would like to have each time a rental match is made. I try to give the guest as much space as needed for total rest and relaxation without a care while enjoying their property, but due to both of us being fairly new at this... a booking error was created leading to us having the opportunity to communicate and the experience was painless, as well as enlightening; as a owner it’s my job to ensure a memorable guest experience, making the right moves to ensure a smile is the last thing I see on all guest faces at the end of the day. However my experience with Jaye as a guest erasure me that this is the business for me, by his mirroring my actions from a guest standpoint turning the tables on me and I truly did walk away with a smile on my face not only for my actions but more so for what my guest had done for my understanding of how really great people still are. “Thanks, and hurry back home!
