“This was the best hostel I’ve stayed in. VERY quiet for a hostel and they make guests understand to behave that way in a respectful manner. It’s about as close as you can get to the old town and the common highlights of the city. I was very happy with my stay and I’d happily stay here again if I were to come back to Takayama!”

“Lovely hotel up in Gora. Stayed for two nights as a relaxed stop between Tokyo and Kyoto which it was perfect for. Two nights is enough to see the major sights around Gora such as the Open Air Museum, the sulfuric volcano vents and Fuji. The room was traditional and neatly kept. Breakfast was good albeit a bit for or western tastebuds. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant so can't say how it was. Very convenient that the hotel is next to the train and cablecar station.”

“The owner and his wife were really lovely, and gave us a huge amount of information about local places to eat - as well as some excellent tips for our hike up Mount Fuji. The hostel is really nicely laid out, very clean, close to lots of food options (restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores) - and has an incredible view of Mount Fuji from the communal indoor and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed our stay!!”

“As a first time experience at an Onsen, it sure was a treat. A very nice and cozy place, with a helpful staff and great amenities. A bit hard to find at first (a single door at the end of a parking lot), but once you find your way it is a great little place for relaxation and Onsen baths. “The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. My futon had two layers and although I like a firm mattress, I did think it was quite sore on my back the 1st night. Common areas include the kitchen, cafe and lounge. “施設はとても宿泊と旅行拠点のしやすさに特化した場所だなと感じました。 寝床も綺麗で寝やすく、確認すべき内容はありましたが、戸惑いなどはありませんでした。 仕事が溜まっていたので、1階のロビーで簡易カフェで仕事をすることがほとんどでしたが、お腹がすけば外にパッと買い出しに行けるし、調理施設は無いんですがすぐそばにお弁当屋さんやスーパーもあるしファストフードも多いので、買い帰って食事をしながら仕事もできます。本当に名古屋で仕事にしに行った時の拠点としてお世話になりやすいなとおもいました。 バスのアクセスもいいので、深夜バスだと栄のバスターミナルからもアクセスしやすいですし、名古屋駅からは地下鉄で近いです。 私は連泊しなかったので時間もないだろうと洗濯はしなかったのですが、連泊の場合はスタッフの方に声をかけて洗濯をしてたとおもいます。 あと夜も基本静かです。栄から距離があるのもありますが、大須の中と言っても周辺が静かなこともあり、落ち着いて生活が出来ます。そういう意味でもとてもおすすめです。”
