We stayed at Hotel Graal in Ravello and, unfortunately, it was another disappointing experience. The hotel feels very outdated. I understand the traditional Amalfi Coast style, but this isn’t about preserving character—it simply feels like a hotel that was in its prime 20 years ago and has barely been updated since. Overall, it feels much closer to a one-star motel than a four-star hotel. We booked one of the renovated Deluxe Rooms, which looked nice at first glance, but even that room was poorly maintained. There was mold around the air conditioning unit and mold throughout the shower, which is simply unacceptable in a room marketed as newly renovated. It gave the impression that the room hadn’t been properly maintained after the renovation. The air conditioning itself was another major disappointment. It was extremely noisy, barely maintained the temperature we selected, never got properly cold, and had no sleep mode or modern features. For a room that is marketed as newly renovated, I expected a much more modern and efficient air conditioning system. The pool experience was honestly one of the worst I’ve had at any hotel. The staff showed little to no interest in maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. I’ve never seen such disrespectful behavior go completely ignored. Adults were splashing other guests with water, doing cannonballs into the pool, and generally behaving like children, while the staff did absolutely nothing.
