Lovely place in a very quiet area
A very relaxing stay with wonderful views and tranquility. Appreciated the minimalistic interior design and the way the character of the old building has been retained. There are plenty of cooking ware in the house and within walking distance several food shops - bakeries, butcher, fresh fish etc etc. Guess the place is much more busy in the summer than in February... The only thing we were missing in the house this time of year was a balcony or terrace facing south where you could have a coffee/breakfast in the sun. But breakfast on the terrace in front of the Ristorante Belvedere, a few steps away, was a very good solution to that request.

Urlaub im Palazzo
Sehr schöne und sehr stilvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit extrem viel Platz in einem Palazzo aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Città San Angelo selbst bietet 2 kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte, 3 Bäcker und 2 Restaurants sowie diverse Bars. Für das Nötigste ist somit gesorgt. Großer Supermarkt ist auch nicht weit und in Pescara gibt es sowieso Alles. Die Menschen in Città sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Entfernung zum Meer sowie zu den wirklich hohen Bergen ist gering. Die Strände sind breit und sehr gepflegt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Urlaub. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

The best
We cannot say enough positive things about this property. Dirk and Michelle were such great hosts and made the entire process seamlessly and worry free. The property itself is a stunning updated apartment that fit our needs perfectly, the location is exactly what we had hoped for and made it easy and comfortable comfortable to visit with my local family who were also very impressed. I cannot recommend this rental enough and have already passed. The word to my other family who may visit our ancestral homeland. 🙏🙏🙏

Super Urlaub, Top Ferienwohnung
Wir haben wunderschöne Tage in Citta San't Angelo erlebt. Die Ferienwohnung (eher ein Ferienhaus) ist Top ausgestattet und die Lage ist einmalig. Wir waren zu fünft dort und alles hat perfekt gepasst. Die Kommunikation mit Dirk ist super einfach und hatten wir mal eine Frage dann hat Dirk sofort geantwortet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wirklich schön!
Ich war mit meinen Töchtern (20 und 17) für in der Wohnung und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Örtchen ist hübsch und die Wohnung wirklich schön. Für mich hervorzuheben sind die tolle Ausstattung der Küche, in der Kochen eine Freude ist. Alles ist reichlich vorhanden, Töpfe und Pfannen sind von hervorragender Qualität und fehlt an nichts. Viele gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten! Der Blick ist spektakulär und es ist ruhig. Direkt hinter dem Haus ist ein Parkplatz mit kostenlosen Parkmöglichkeiten, wo wir selbst im Juli/August fast immer einen Platz gefunden haben. Der Strand in Silvi Marina ist besonders im hinteren Teil (Höhe Twenty Beach, wie schon in einer vorherigen Bewertung beschrieben) nicht völlig überlaufen wie in anderen touristischen Gegenden Italiens. Das hat uns sehr gefallen. Es gibt auch große Abschnitte, an denen man mit Handtuch oder mitgebrachtem Stuhl kostenlos liegen kann. Alles in allem: Entschleunigung und Entspannung pur!

Simply wonderful
The Medici Apartment is simply wonderful. Beautiful decorated spacious rooms where you can breathe the history of this space. The tasteful renovation made our stay exceptional. The whole communication with the nice owner was perfect and the whole check in and out was uncomplicated. The surroundings and the village are beautiful. Also a good basis for trips into the mountains and coast. Suggest to visit the Majella National Parc. You can find several great restaurants in the village but we also enjoyed cooking in the great kitchen. We will come back some time!

Great place to be based to explore ABRUZZO. Town is centrally located, safe and authentic with some of the best views in the region. Apartment is on the main street with easy parking and all the services you need. Owners are accessible and very responsive, providing lots of great information that you may need.

Beautiful
Both the apartment and the views were stunning! We had such a lovely time in CSA. The apartment is right in the middle of everything - walked to dinner, drinks, the market, etc. The space was very luxurious and large. We loved sitting around the large kitchen table for coffee and cornettos (purchased at the local pasticceria) where we would plan our day. The hosts had everything laid out with great instructions. Thought parking would be difficult, but ended up being quite easy. They were also extremely responsive to all our questions. We would definitely go back!

The perfect location to enjoy Abruzzo
We had a wonderful time experiencing this beautiful region of Italy for the first time. The house itself has every comfort with views of the sea and mountains. It really is as nice as the photos and does not disappoint. Many personal touches make it a relaxing place from where to experience this village in an authentic way. We really enjoyed the historical points of interest, as well as buying from the local market and shops and then cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. All the information on the area was very helpful and a lunch at il Grottino was a particular highlight. Thank you to the hosts for putting so much care into this accommodation.

Charm with comfort
The Medici Apt in Citta Sant’Angelo is a gem and full of architectural history but also loaded with comforts. A wonderful way to enjoy small village charm but located near the Adriatic coast and all of its activities and services. Highly recommended !

Absolut perfekt
Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Highlight, der Atemberaubende Blick von der Dachterrasse und aus dem Bett durch das grosse Rundbogenfenster. Es hat unser Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen! Wir kommen wieder :) Zu Citta San Angelo möchte ich noch sagen, wer in einem typisch italienischen Örtchen am Meer Urlaub machen möchte, fernab der Touristen Hochburgen ist hier genau richtig:) Vielen Dank an Michelle & Dirk für diesen wundervollen Aufenthalt:)

Beautiful Mountain Seaview
Spectacular home in magnificent setting! The host has thought of everything you could possibly want or need! So considerate…thank you for the welcome basket! Decor and renovations are top of the line. We absolutely LOVED the house! The neighboring villages are as beautiful with friendly, welcoming restaurants and shops. Which brings me to the only bummer was is the village people themselves. Unusually cold, unfriendly to tourist. Never encountered anything like it in all my travels. After two days we decided to go to towns close by and enjoyed wonderful experiences. More than made up for it!

Palazzo Perfection
Dirk and Michelle’s property is as unique as its location in Citta Sant Angelo. Steeped in history but with all modern luxuries it was a perfect location for our stay. We will miss the scent of woodsmoke in the evenings from the glorious open fire and the beautiful sound of the campane della chiesa every day. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

Ein italienischer Traum
Ich war mit meiner Tochter für 10 Tage in dieser wundevollen Wohnung - wobei Wohnung dem Palazzo nicht annähernd gerecht wird. Es ist ein wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail restauriertes Objekt, bei dem die perfekte Harmonie zwischen alt (z.B. Ziegelböden, Gewölbedecken) und neu (z.B. moderne Badelemente und eine schicke Einbauküche) besticht. Der Palazzo liegt in einem Hinterhaus der "Hauptstrasse" (es fahren quasi keine Autos...man trifft eher auf Vespas und Fußgänger). Somit wohnt man zentral und dennoch ruhig. Citta Sant'Angelo ist ein äußerst reizvoller Ort, auf einem Hügel gelegen, mit Blick über die traumhafte Landschaft bis hin zum Meer. Meine persönlichen Highlights der Wohnung waren 1. die wunderschöne Wohnküche 2. das Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoß mit einer traumhaften, weißen Gewölbedecke 3. der Ausblick aus jedem einzelnen Fenster und last but not least der umwerfende Ausblick von der Dachterrasse...da schwindet auch der letzte Stress. Die Vermieter sind toll und einfach immer erreichbar und kümmern sich um alles. Ich habe 5 Sterne vergeben, weil nicht mehr möglich ist. Fazit: Italienischer kann man sich im Italienurlaub nicht fühlen - ein super Ambiente und eine tolle Umgebung, um sich wirklich gut zu erholen...egal ob, wie in unserem Fall als Mutter mit der 13 jährigen Tochter (WLAN/Smart TV sind vorhanden) oder als Paar oder als Freunde oder Familie. Ich kann mir sehr gut vorstellen, dort wieder einmal Urlaub zu machen! Hier abschließend noch einige Tipps: Nach einigen Anläufen, waren wir im SPAZIO CONAD in der Vio Leonardo Petruzzi...es wurde unser tägliches Highlight. Dort gibt es alles:) Am Strand waren wir in Silvi, Höhe Club Twenty Beach. Dort gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze, sofern man nicht zu spät kommt und man kann sowohl an den freien Strand als auch in den Club (vorher reservieren). Ausflüge haben wir u.a. gemacht nach >Aielli - Besichtigung der Murales - sehr schön! - evtl. kann man auf dem Rückweg noch Sulmona mitnehmen. >San Vito Chietino an der Costa dei Trabocchi - Achtung: insbesondere Marina di San Vito ist sehr überlaufen, die Parkplatzsuche ist eine Herausforderung

Vacation in a palazzo
We spent a wonderful week in Citta Sant Angelo. The property is extraordinary, modern interieur in a centuries old palazzo. From the roof terrace and almost all windows you have spectacular views to both mountains and sea. When arriving you pick up keys in a key box and check in yourself. All is very well explained in advance and the owners are easily reachable (this is also true if questions come up). Very detailed material on house and area with useful tips available. We particularly enjoyed dinners in the restaurants in the village and on the coast at Costa Verde. Excursions in all directions are possible given perfect central location in Abruzzo. Very nice neighbourhood, a woman living next door offered help, when water was switched off for a few hours. Altogether, nice and very enjoyable vacation.

Alles ist genauso wie bebildert und beschrieben. Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes, großzügiges Ferienhaus in einem bezaubernden Ort. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war schnell, hilfreich und unkompliziert. Alles war perfekt. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen.

Traumwohnung in perfekter Umgebung
Die Wohnung liegt optimal in einem sehr schönen, natürlichen Ort unweit von Meer und Bergen. Als Ausgangspunkt ideal für einen Urlaub in dem man sowohl das Land mit seinen wunderbaren Kunstschätzen besichtigen will, aber auch Ausflüge in die Abruzzen und Tage am Meer verbringen möchte. Die Wohnung selbst ist perfekt und wirklich beeindruckend eingerichtet. (Kleines Detail: Dimmbare Treppenbeleuchtung mit Dämmerungssensor und Bewegungsmelder!!) Habe noch nie eine so schöne und perfekte Wohnung gefunden. Günther Kleinert

Michelle and Dirk's apartment was a real surprise in the center of beautiful Citta Sant'Angelo. Once you open the door you don't know what you see! A large, cozy living space, a beautiful kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms and beautiful views from every window that will blow your mind. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful house
The house is located in a very nice and typical Italian village near the sea ( 15 km) but around 500 meters height. That gives you a nice breeze in summer. There is plenty of space in every room. The kitchen has everything you need, including washing machine and dishwasher. You feel you are in a modern house but at the same time in an old palace. We spent one whole week and between the beach, the national park and the outlet in the near we didn’t get one minute bored. At the house you find a very complete book where you see where to go and what to do. If I could improve the house I would put a small set of drawers to put the clothes upstairs, but there is small closet with hangers. In general everything was very clean and organised. Parking is not a problem even in August. There are big supermarkets not very far and small ones just on the same street. If you have any questions or problem Dirk and Michelle answer within minutes. Super holidays!!!

Appartement très grand mais pas pratique
Aucun accueil à l’arrivée (clés dans un boîtier). Pas de placard dans la chambre parentale pour ranger ses affaires. Propreté douteuse des sols, de la cuisinière et du four. Manque de plats et de poêles pour pouvoir faire à manger. Paiement en £ et retour de la caution tardive. Cependant le cadre est magnifique et le village de Sant’angello ne manque pas de charme.

Hi Danielle, I'm sorry you weren't happy with your arrival; we do make it clear in the pre-arrival booklets sent to all clients on final payment that there is no welcome and this is reflected in the rental price. We also do have a house manager who cleans the apartment before any bookings and she takes great pride in what she does, sorry it wasn't up to your standards, we haven't had any complaints before. I also apologize that you found the kitchen lacking, however we do feel we provide plenty of dishes and cookware, there are many dishes in the central island. I myself am an avid cook and have never found myself at a loss whilst cooking there. I hope you still managed to enjoy your trip. Best, Michelle

Tolles Apartment in einem schönen Städtchen
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in einer tollen Location. Die Wohnung ist genauso wie beschrieben und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alle Dinge die man braucht ( Einkaufen, Restaurants ) sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Im Haus gibt es eine Mappe mit Beschreibungen der Umgebung und Tipps zur Tagesgestaltung. Nochmal vielen Dank an Michelle, alles war sehr gut. Vielen Dank auch an der Welt größten Bowiefan Tracey für die Informationen während unseres Aufenthaltes

A magical place!
Our stay in this amazing apartment was simply magical, exceeding all our expectations. We spent 7 wonderful days here enjoying the charming hilltop village and exploring the surrounding area. The apartment is huge and is exactly as pictured, with two very large bedrooms with firm but comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen, and many sitting areas. The views from the sun porch and upstairs bedroom are stunning. We spent many hours relaxing in front of the large bedroom window enjoying the view and watching the swallows at work. It was very quiet and very safe. The renovation work was absolutely stunning - completely modernized yet maintaining a rustic, old world feel. The apartment is located in the old (ancient) village of Citta Sant’Angelo. There are several excellent restaurants and take-away shops within walking distance as well as small market shops, incredible bakeries and butcher shops should you want to cook. Try to plan staying over a Wednesday to enjoy the market day – it really was delightful. We found the locals to be very helpful and friendly and while English was limited (and our Italian even more so), we managed quite nicely. There was plenty of free, convenient parking available as well. The owner Michelle was instantly available via email for any questions and was very helpful with everything. We have rented many apartments in Europe and give this apartment our highest recommendation. We highly recommend staying here if you are interested in exploring this amazing, "off-the-beaten path" area of Italy. It will be a visit you’ll never forget.

Fantastic apartment
Really large apartment in lovely old town. Very quiet and very comfortable. Everything was to an excellent standard, but the best thing was the most amazing view, we loved sitting on the roof terrace. Michelle was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Loads to see and do, easy drive to the beaches. Would recommend.

Beautiful and delicious
Delicious modern apartment with it all! After a week in The Medici, I have only one thought in my head. When can I get there again? The apartment is located in a beautiful, quiet and wonderfully located historic town with the most beautiful views of both mountains and sea. The apartment is very large and has a very high level in all the rooms. Beautiful furniture and many fine details, where the picturesque view from the windows is something very special. Everything worked fine with Michelle as a very good and informative host
