My only slight disappointment was that there is no closet in the primary bedroom and limited dresser space, but other than that everything was great! “We are locals and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights due to construction work. This listing came up when searching for single family homes to rent and we loved that it was at our favorite beach. The description mentions that this listing is only one level but that was not clear in the photos or search terms. We did not end up staying at this rental because it was unsatisfactory upon our arrival to check in. The rental is only the bottom rooms of the house and the top was occupied when...

“House was so cute with amazing history. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. They even turned the porch lights on for us when they learned we would arrive after dark! Highly recommend Mermaid Cottages and this house. We walked everywhere and others staying in the neighborhood were all friendly and respectful. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“Miss Opals was cozy! I would only make a suggestion for an air conditioner window unit in the pool house. And possibly cut back soE of the foliage in the back yard. I would highly recommend this place. We had a great time. If you do stay here in fall months ask them to have the heater on before you get there. Seemed like it took two days to get the water warm. ”
