Perfect Relaxing and Fishing Spot

We loved this comfortable, roomy apartment in natural setting for a one-month stay, from the large bed, large washer and dryer, full kitchen, table and chairs to the several throw blankets, cute decor and great pillows. My husband just wanted to fish in a river for his first month of retirement and this was the perfect place. He caught lots of fish and spent time on thoughtfully-placed chairs enjoying the peace and quiet of the various private river spots on this property. We saw deer frequently, turkeys, cranes, chipmunks, birds and one day even a river otter. In this beautiful, large property, the host even set up the fire pit for us when our son visited, and the hot tub was welcome relief after hiking or playing golf a few miles away. While there’s really no where to walk to off property, town is a short drive away. Within a half-hour drive is everything you could want to do including downtown Spokane. The host suggested riding the Hiawatha Trail (a little further away—Idaho) and it was a trip highlight. Wi-Fi speeds were great for all the work i was getting done while my hubby fished. Hosts very responsive and kind.

Perfect for our family

The MIL suite was larger than i anticipated; it felt very spacious for a small unit, even for our family to pack into: -The kitchen feels definitely sufficient in terms of size (pots/pans are limited, though), and the fridge was huge…we had no issues doing what we needed for meals, and storing food for all of us! - the master bedroom was very comfortable and allowed room for a pack-n-play. There is a large walk-in-closet we used as a mini-room for our small kids to sleep in for naps and at night. Access to the water is down a steep short path; kayaks were provided; boating the river was my favorite part of the experience! However, as the description says, it’s best suited for older kids…there is not an easy grade into the water, or a place for little ones to play; it’s just a ladder down into the deep(ish) water. Great for teens and older to cool down in though! I loved how convenient this place was in terms of location too. We enjoyed our home base being in the country, but we frequented parks in Spokane too. For kids, there is a water park and playground 5 min away, and a wildcat zoo 5 min away as well. Also, the house was super clean, and the hosts went above and beyond to help accommodate a need. We had a great time!

Spokane Splendor

We were in Spokane for a few days and were looking for an alternative to the chain hotels etc. What a find!! The property is absolutely beautiful with views of the river from the back patio! We enjoyed drinking our coffee while watching deer and wild turkeys near the river! The apartment is roomy with all the comforts of home and Dale is a welcoming host. He’s friendly and quick to accommodate guests with suggestions for restaurants and sights to see nearby! Would highly recommend!

Fantasic Property in an Amazing Location with a Wonderful Host

The property is amazing. It overlooks the Little Spokane River, pasture and woods. Step outside and you are in the country. Walk down a small hill (probably a 3 minute walk) and you will arrive at the riverbank. The host has two garden chairs there for you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of being in the country. You are truly away from the hurly burly of city life. You will probably spot at least some of the following if you stay more than a few minutes: deer, ducks, geese and bald eagles. The unit itself is large, well-appointed, and spacious. The living room and kitchen are one large room. The bedroom is quite sizable. There is a very large walk-in closet. The bathroom is also very large and has a full-sized washer and dryer in it - both in great condition and work exceptionally well. The host is courteous, friendly, very helpful, and easy to work with - just a wonderful man. We did not meet his wife but she was extremely helpful as we exchanged texts and in answering our questions. Our only reluctance in writing this review is that others will see it, realize how wonderful this Vrbo is, and the book times we want to stay there before we can. The place is a true treasure! If you have the opportunity, book it before we do!

My husband and I booked this place after having to cancel a trip to the beach due to Covid rules. It was amazing! A little piece of heaven in Eastern Washington! So quiet, clean and the property view made this so relaxing and enjoyable! Hot tub was amazing! We had everything thing we needed. Dale was an awesome host! Checking in on us, giving us wonderful ideas for meals close by! If R and R is what your looking for this is the place for you! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
