Peaceful setting

The house and location were nice. Beautiful, peaceful setting, but the house was dirty. From dirty tubs, filthy sheets, food on the floor, sticky substances in the silverware drawers, to trash overflowing the outside bins and beer cans in the bushes. The owners were more responsive than I’ve ever experienced, which was helpful and I appreciated it. A new cleaning service would make this a pretty near perfect place.

We had ages 3-62 and everyone enjoyed their time. There was plenty of room and things to do outdoors.

Almost perfect

My husband is a builder wgi was trying to relax and all we heard was the construction going on next door! If i had known i sure would have picked a different house so he could enjoy his peace.

Disappointing with some saving graces

This house was large enough for a group of 5 women to each have a room. When I arrived the yard was muddy and torn up because they had workers building a driveway and boat ramp. The whole yard was covered in straw an mud. If they were working they should not have rented this place. I could not find the front door so I called lhe property manager who told me where it was , up a steep flight of stairs in the back. Then I had to call again because the lock box was at least 6 feet off the ground with tiny dial a numbers like you see on a small locker. I could not reach it so I had to find something to stand on. I got the numbers in but still could not open the thing. So I had to wait for the manager to come and let me in. The decks had muddy boot prints all over. The deck wa filthy. There was even mud on top of the hot tub cover. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well appointed. The tv was excellent. There were numerous porches. It was clean inside.

Lovely getaway

The property was beautiful with the burbling river and surrounding forest. We loved our stay there. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. The black out curtains were fantastic for when you wanted to nap, and the natural light was amazing for when you were ready to socialize. The river was not safely accessible, although we tried several different approaches. We probably could have gotten down, but I doubt our ability to get back out. The water was different than I was used to, there was a smell about it. Several of my party commented that the kitchen sink smelled like fish. One time we used the jetted tub in the master bathroom and the water turned brown from the jets. I don't know if this was normal or indicated lack of use. Communication was not as thorough as I'm used to. I didn't get any correspondence when I made the reservation and got very nervous when we were a week out with no word. I tried sending a message to the owners, but got no reply. I had to call the company directly and a representative was able to tell me that they specifically don't send the address, directions, or box code until a few days before arrival. They sent me an email asking that I print out a user agreement, but I didn't get it until I left for the cabin. There's also a quick check out with Alexa, but we were not able to confirm that she understood our request. Despite any negative observations, we had a wonderful stay.

Great property

Very nice property, beautiful views of the river from many different decks and rooms. Nice outdoor fireplace with table for dining. Minor drawbacks that even though the property had 5 bedrooms with King and Queen beds, the bathroom situation could have been better. The two bedrooms upstairs each had their own bathroom, however the downstairs bedrooms (3) all shared a bathroom. The kitchen, living room and two bedrooms are upstairs (lots of steps). Three bedrooms, one bath and rec room downstairs. We were three 60-70 year old couples and had no problems. Access to the river is not realistic and the drop off was far too steep to navigate, so fishing at the property is unreasonable. Last, it would be nice to have "glass" wine glasses....plastic just doesn't cut it. Overall, I would rent this property again but not with more than 4 couples. Family's with children could make it work better.
