  • Trevligt villa precis nedanför Cortona i Toscana. Från semesterhuset har man fantastisk panoramautsikt över Chiana-dalen och den gamla kyrkan San Maria delle Grazie al Calcinaio.
    På fastigheten är det en trevlig pool där du kan spendera avkopplande stunder tillsammans med vänner eller familj. Utomhus hittar man också en stor trädgård med en grillplats som gör det möjligt att förbereda måltider ute under de varma årstidern. Semesterhuset ligger mycket nära centrum av Cortona, en vacker liten medeltida stad i Toscana som går tillbaka till etruskiska tider. Villan har nyligen bliven restaurerad på ett sätt så man har bevarat många av de ursprungliga detaljerna som de gamla terracottaplattor och takbalkar. Semesterhuset är smakfullt inredd med inslag av antikviteter som hjälper till att skapa en mysig atmosfär.
    Avstånder: Cortona med alla typer av affärer 1 km (inom gångavstånd), Camucia 1 km, Arezzo 30 km. Perugia och Siena 50 km.
    Till gästernas bruk: trädgård med terrasser och vidsträckt utsikt över den omgivande landsbygden, liten sten pool (3,5 x 4 m - öppen från 15/04 till 15/10) är utrustade med hydromassage jets och charmig vattenfall, grill. Tvättstuga med tvättmaskin och strykjärn. Alla rum är utrustade med luftkonditionering. Trådlöst internet finns tillgängligt (utan kostnad). Parkering på fastigheten.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Cortona, dass Haus war sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Umgebung war sensationell, sehr viele Restaurants in der nähe. Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder bei Posarelli Villas buchen.

Beautiful home in a stunning location. The views are amazing and the surrounding area is easy to drive around and explore. Location is central to Tuscany so lots to do in the area. Host was friendly, accommodating, and responsive. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely Tuscan stay

Just on the slope nestled between Cortona city and the Calcinaio church, the location was perfect for us. We enjoyed the serenity of no one immediately around us while only being a very short drive from the city walls. (Admittedly, we could have walked, but driving was easier!) Taking day trips to various Tuscan cities and sights was wonderfully served by the central location.

Villa in Cortona

Great location in Tuscany! tight roads in and out of the property, must it has the most spectacular views around. 3 min. drive to Cortona.The villa is spacious and very accomodating. Just be sure to ask how to use the dishwasher and washing machine.

Nice but too expensive

Nice house and a fantastic garden. Cortona is a great place. The house wasn't very clean and the Air-Con is available but doesn't really cool the bed rooms upstairs on hot summer days. It's too expensive for what it is.

The perfect Tuscan cottage

We were 100% satisfied with this property. It is charming and well maintained, with a great lawn and small pool to cool off in. The driveway is a bit rustic, but the parking is easy and behind a security gate. The views of the adjacent Renaissance church and the Valdichiana are amazing. The hilltop town of Cortona is 5min away and full of good restaurants, shopping, and an interesting Etruscan museum. There is a full service Conad grocery store in the town of Camucia, 5min down the hill. Florence, Siena, and Montepulcianco are easy day trips.The owner’s son, Enrico, met us at the house to check us in and spoke good English. Overall we were completely satisfied.

Nice property but strange noises at night.

Nice enough property, very clean. You need to reconfigure furniture in living room so more people can sit. Ok for 2 people but not really inviting and comfortable. Don't need the dining table in that room or that huge hutch. More wine glasses and bowls needed. Update master bedroom mattress. Very uncomfortable. Grounds very enjoyable! Property manager very responsive and helpful. Not really walkable up to hilltop. Reason for the lower rating is the house is over 200 years old (remodeled). At night there are a lot of noises to keep you up. If you get spooked this isn't the property for you. We checked out early due to this night after night.

This villetta is perfect if you are looking to stay near a village with views of the countryside. There are olive groves that surround the property making it easy to go for a small walk nearby. The accommodations are typical and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating providing help when we needed it. The gardens are beautiful and the view from the property of the iconic church is unmatched. The sunrise and sunset from the villa are fabulous. The property is so close to Cortona that you can really feel a part of the community staying here with easy access to the village. Grocery stores are easily accessible as well down below the property in nearby Camucia. The villa was perfect for 4 people but could easily handle another 2 with one person sleeping on the couch. The single bedroom is much smaller than anticipated, but has a small sitting room near it that helps with space. The road in and out of the property is quite narrow and oncoming traffic can be hard to see. There are mirrors for exit, but you need to listen for traffic and it helps to have another person for another set of eyes. The stone walls on the side of the road to access the property are narrow and close as mentioned. Anything larger than a mid-size car would be too big. Overall, we had a fabulous stay here at Villa Calinaio. The views, classic old world rustic charm, and the gardens with pool make this a fantastic choice for a small group staying near Cortona.

Schöner Garten aber im Haus steckt noch Potential

Wir sind als 6 köpfige Familie angereist und wurden vom Vermieter auch sehr zeitnah empfangen. Wenn wir nicht italienisch könnten, wäre die Kommunikation bestimmt etwas schwieriger gewesen. Uns wurde alles gezeigt und erklärt wie was funktioniert. Leider haben die Angaben zu dem Haus nicht ganz gestimmt, denn dieses Haus ist definitiv nicht für 6 Personen, da die Schlafcouch auf nicht wirklich bequem war und diese auch schon in die Jahre gekommen ist. Einige Kleinigkeiten wie z,B. der Wäscheständer, welcher eigentlich nicht mehr gut war, könnte ersetzt werden und somit positiv auf den Gesamteindruck wirken. Das weitere Bett im unteren Bereich sah auf den Bildern schon etwas klein aus, was es auch in Wirklichkeit war, somit waren die Nächte nicht unbedingt erholsam. Die Sauberkeit in diesem Haus könnte deutlich besser sein, es war schon etwas staubig und auch nicht wirklich geputzt und so haben wir erstmal die Spühlmaschine erstmal laufen lassen. Der Garten hat jedoch unsere Erwartungen erfüllt und wir konnten schöne Stunden am Pool verbringen und Abends auch draußen grillen und Essen.

Lovely stay in Cortona

Villa Calcinaio was a beautiful place to spend our time while in Cortona. My goal was to get a slice of Tuscan life and this house gave me the opportunity to do just that. It was rustic but charming and updated ~20 years ago. Enrico was very responsive and even came to our rescue when we had trouble locating the house on the dark and rainy night when we arrived. I found the house stocked with all the basics and then some and I fell in love with the view of the beautiful dome from every window. My only word of caution is that the small road to the house is very steep, unpaved, and has poor visibility from both entrances to the main road. It was doable in a compact car, but I felt better having a co-pilot to help me check for oncoming cars when exiting. Again, something that Italians may be used to, but not so much for many others. Also, if being able to walk to town is what's drawing you to this space as it was for me, while it can be done, you are walking on very curvy and narrow roads, and even for someone in good shape, it is a heck of a steep incline. We chose to take the very short drive to the public parking lot up the hill and save our energy for the walks in Cortona.

Nice villa, nice view,but only 3 wineglasses and 56 coffee-cups. Living a bit small for 6 persons. Kind owner After two years of cancelation due to Covid, we finally could go to the Possarelli villa. Unfortunately my friend fell over the doorstep and broke her shoulder. She was taken by ambulance to hospital in Arezzo and had an operation. So the last week was not so pleasant

Settembre al Calcinaio

Soggiorno piacevole, affaccio eccezionale (meglio che nelle foto!), prato e piccola piscina con idromassaggio che fanno godere molto relax, abitazione dal fascino d'altri tempi ma attrezzata agli attuali, wi-fi e frigo così così, ma saranno migliorati, attenta e gentile collaborazione da parte dei proprietari. Certamente da consigliare.

Comfortable house with Garden and views Great location for exploring Tuscany and Umbria. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Enrico was very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed some lovely quiet days in our garden enjoying the view. Coffee machine a plus and I should imagine the pool would be great in summer. Cortona a few minutes away by car and supermarket is nearby in Camucia. We caught the train from Camucia to Florence and Rome for day trips.
