“The cabin was great! The location on the river was amazing. The cabin was clean upon arrival. It is a 25 minute drive into Durango, but it’s a beautiful drive. Would stay here again. ”

“I was overall happy with my stay at the Fairmont FKL, with one very important exception (listed under cons below). Pros: Close to the gondola, has a nice spa and decent gym. Mostly friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Okay level of cleanliness. Cons: Rooms do NOT look like they do in the hotel photos, they are dated and in need of a renovation. Rooms also have no AC which was almost unbearable during hot summer days. The worst con of them all is, however, that I was contacted after my stay because...

“Great place! Could walk to downtown which is so important as there’s no easy parking! Very busy! You get a parking spot and the bus picks up right out front! Hot tub was the best ever after hiking all day! Would have liked hot tub towels but other than that, it was perfect! ”
