“Kamala was the best host we've ever had on any vacation. She was so sweet and had so many stories. We even had her over for dinner one night. The power went out after a tree fell in the middle of the night and she was up at 3am to call it in immediately, then came over first thing in the morning to get the wifi back up and running. The trails on the 27 acres are just as awesome as anywhere in the hoh rainforest and they're all literally in the back yard and very clearly marked so it's hard to...

“Appreciated having the kitchen. So enjoyed the chanterelles and smoked salmon we purchased in the “Jam Shack.” Delicious!The location was great for visits to Ruby Beach and the Hoh Rain Forest. Loved Diane’s creativity in her work on the chalet—up cycled materials used including the mosaic tile work in the bathroom & the fabulous wood stove made from water main pipe. “Beautiful historical hotel, the rooms were comfortable, the bed too and we liked the vintage style fridge. Because this is a historical building the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! I'd give it a higher rating but the thin walls were an annoyance. Also, no AC in the unit.”

“I'd give this place a 9/10, I would definitely stay here again if I ever visit Seattle again.
The room is great and had everything I needed (and more - I never even used the stove). It had a fridge, cutlery, microwave, toasters and other kitchen tools that I barely even touched. The TV system was also top notch with a large variety of streaming services and regular TV.
The Ballard area is a far cry from the at-times chaotic downtown Seattle, it is a calm neighbourhood with great restaurants,...
