“The cabin was absolutely beautiful and cozy. The appliances appeared to be new and everything worked perfectly. It was also very nice that essentials like coffee filters trash bags kitchen supplies laundry detergent were all provided. The cabin is located in a neighborhood but felt private and secluded from the back porch which overlooks Island lake. “We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It is very spacious, well stocked and in a great location. We watched the otters play from the shoreline. There was a pair of golden eagles nesting in the tree next door. They were on a stump right outside the back door on our last morning. ”

“Lovely stay at Flying Bear.The two story townhouse was spacious, comfortable, and stocked with all the necessities for an enjoyable stay.Host was attentive and responded quickly to questions.It’s about a mile out of town, good walk on a nice day, but about 10 taxi on rainy days. Don’t use Uber or Lyft on the island, easily 3x more expensive than an old-fashioned cab.Recommend!”

“Nice little get away spot. View was beautiful, beds and shower comfortable. We would have benefited from a pearing knife to cut our bagel and apple. One other suggestion is a taller faucet in one of the sinks to better wash dishes and fill water bottles. Great spot! I would highly recommend!”

“Location was close to all services but very quiet. People with mobility issues would have trouble accessing the rental. Definitely would choose this property again. ”

We were in Kodiak on business so we didn't have much time to explore but would love to come back and stay here again and take a fishing trip and sightseeing tour with Rick and Hope!”

“It was indeed an awesome view. The hosts are really friendly. It has a separate entrance which is nice. Walking distance to downtown if you don't have a car, but if you do there is a place to park. It is built on a hill in front of the ocean, and requires walking down a flight of stairs each time you come and go. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck just taking in the scenery and sounds. ”

“Another beautiful property with views and easy access to float plane launch, stores (Safeway & Walmart), and "downtown" which on Kodiak Island is very quaint House is about one mile from harbor, where there is a minimal, brewery, Nuniaq (breakfast/lunch), Henry's, Aquamarine restaurant (side-by-side), bank, info center, all near harbor and easy walking distance. Property, was roomy, clean, and allowed for parking on or off street. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, and the owners...
