There were pineapples, papayas, plumeria, orchids and so much more. It was so relaxing to sit on the lanai in the evening with a cool drink and listen to the sounds of the tree frogs and the burbling of the koi pond.”

“The house was very clean. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. It was really close to Volcano National Park. Just about 45 min drive to Hilo and Black Sand Beach. Would definitely recommend this property. ”

“The grounds were amazing. We were allowed to pick our own fruits like papaya, sapote, banana, mountain apple, avocado, cacao, etc. The property was clean and cozy, and the outdoor shower was very nice. Only downside was a couple of loud coqui frogs at night, and it was a bit of a drive to Hilo.”

“It was an absolute joy staying here. The property was like a zen garden. The neighborhood was very peaceful and it was super easy to find the place. ( I found it in the dead of night during a rain shower) Most everything you need is provided, slow cooker, silverware of all varieties, cups and mugs, small fridge, soap and shampoo, cutting board and butcher knife and other convinces. “Place was amazing, it was quite, except for the frogs at night, but they didn't bother me at all. There is no AC , but with the fans on and windows open it was fine. Love the lanai, I was able to just sit out there for breakfasts and dinner and enjoy the ocean view, the breeze, and the chickens. The only thing is I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom and a night stand in the bedroom with the twin beds. I had no where to put my things and I usually have a cup of water near me at night. “Great location for Hilo side. You are about 15 mins outside of Hilo that has everything you would need. The Big Island requires driving because it is so spacious so anywhere you stay is going to require some driving to see all the island has to offer. The black sand beach that you can hike to that is 5 min drive from the house is fabulous. We saw sea turtles and the water was crystal clear. The beds and bathrooms were great!
