“The house was cute and comfortable. I loved the old feel of it. The location was remote and serene, and we enjoyed the sound of the river across the street while chatting on the porch. We had no problem with making our meals, as the kitchen was sufficiently equipped. Our dog was very comfortable and surprised by a visit from some Guinea hens in the morning. “This house was the perfect family get away. My family enjoyed everything the property had to offer and also skiing close by. Amanda was very quick to respond to all my questions. Overall my family had a fantastic trip.”

“Great place to stay! Very cozy & comfortable with a creative flair to the decor. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway with convenient access to general store and nearby wilmington. We especially enjoyed the hot tub with lake views!! Our only recommendation would be to keep a path around the firepit down to the dock mowed/trimmed. Thank you to the owners for making the stay welcoming and enjoyable!”

HOWEVER..the driveway clearly hadn’t been plowed for a long time when we got there and so once we pulled in our cars were stuck. We were trapped at the house for 3 days. The plow driver came to plow the neighbor and told us he hadn’t been paid by the owners so hadn’t been plowing for some time The owners finally arranged for a different plow to come but not being able to leave for 3 days really affected our ability to...

“This was such a great place to stay! It had everything we needed and more. There were 3 couples and my mother-in-law staying here. We each had our own room and private bathroom with shower. Lots of games, including a pool table. A brand new hot tub... so nice! Plenty of towels and supplies. Apparently we hit mud season, which we didn't know was a thing, but when it rained, we all relaxed in the big family room with lots of comfy couches, pillows, and blankets. “This is a very lovely and clean home. Unit is well equipped with all the comforts of home. I was fortunate to spend 3 months there this past summer and called it my “home away from home”. There is a view of Stratton Mountain from the dining room area. I am hoping to visit again next year and I highly recommend this rental. ”
