âWe had a very good experience at this hotel. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was great due to close access to freeways. We red from other reviews that it was a bit noisy from the freeway but we werenÂŽt bothered about that. Last but not least, one of the staff in the breafast area, Ashley, was very service minded and greeted us with a warm smile every morning. Excellent service from her.. Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents....

âWhen I got here the man at the front desk was really nice and had great communication. My room had just been cleaned and it was nice and fresh. Staff is super friendly. Burger place right next door was great not a far walk. The room is a great size. The bed is a little creeks a lot that would be my only complaint. But overall quiet all over. "Ett boende som fungerar utmÀrkt för en natt mellan tvÄ flygresor. SÄ nÀra terminalen att vi promenerade till hotellet, medan vi tog shutteln tillbaka. Shutteln gick sÄ ofta att det bara var att kliva pÄ direkt efter utcheckning.

The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and donât look down into your phone.
Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building wonât give so much skyview at all in downtown LA.
Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought thatâs just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb!
So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!).
The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect.
So this hotel canât do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management.
