Dursey Island Cable Car

Would not advice a stay in the Shamrock , had to go up 3 flights of steps up to the room 36 steps. A kip . The kitchen was manky . Would not feel comfortable. Tg it was only 2 nights. I would rather sleep on the street. Never again.

This is definitely a beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly and down to earth, great welcoming when checking in. I forgot my tablet when checking out and it was easy and convenient to pick it back up after work. They were very tentative and reached out to me quickly in this matter. Rooms are old fashioned, but very nice and the beds are comfortable and you sleep great in them.

Should give more information about how high up on a hill it is. While it does have a nice view of the city I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who has problems walking. I didn’t want cleaning the first days but that resulted in the staff totally overlooking my room the days I did request cleaning. When they were cleaning it was not done properly. Not impressed. Also, I needed help with the luggage from third floor, where my room was, as the elevator only goes to second floor. No one showed up so I had to do it myself, which isn’t good when you have problems with your shoulder.
