Du kommer att vara pÄ vÀstra sidan av ljudet, en snabbkörning frÄn out-of-the-way sevÀrdheter som Orcas Island Golf Course och Orcas Moon Alpacas och mindre Àn fyra miles utanför Eastsound ordentligt. Du Àr ocksÄ en kort bilresa frÄn vandring pÄ Turtleback Mountain Preserve. Great family retreat in quiet setting

Lovely home in a quiet setting with a view between the trees of the water. The house was well furnished, easily accommodated our family group of 3 couples. Loved the deck, and the side yard perfect for our small dog. Located centrally on the island--easy to visit any location. would love to return in future.

Fantastic Eastsound home

The title says it all. Just be prepared to drive on a dirt road...can be quite muddy during the winter season.

Great house, great location, great view!

We stayed at Shore Thing for 4 nights and it was a great place to stay. The house well off the beaten path and feels like a little remote getaway. Completely clean, plenty of room, and well stocked. The views from the living spaces and bedrooms are incredible, we loved waking up every morning and sipping coffee while looking at the East Sound. Pretty short drives to everything as well. We will absolutely be back and recommending this VRBO to our friends as well!

Great Place!!

Loved staying here: the view was 4 out of 5, making hanging out on the deck a must - even all bundled up from the cold... Especially since the fireplace made it pleasurable going in to warm up. The island was amazing, so location isn't going to be a problem no matter where you stay. Furnishings and amenities were really nice, and the kitchen (surprisingly to me at least) had everything you could think of plus some - no creative solutions necessary!!

The house was nice to stay at. Good location and view. The only downside was the thorough cleanliness. Cob webs, dust bunnies, dead bugs in the window sills and clothing under a bed.

Location great - cleaning needed attention.

The house was comfortable and had some nice amenities in the bathrooms and very usable kitchen with plenty of pots and pans and kid friendly dishes. Some of the furnishings are a bit worn but usable. It was a good location and nice view. The house floors were very dirty and there were some other cleanliness issues which we reported but were only there for a short stay so they didn’t have a chance to correct them.

The house is nice well built. But not well taken care of it was filthy when we checked in, plumbing issues, one sink had the cold water unconnected. Internet unreliable to nonexistent The advertised path to the water was not maintained hence blocked off as closed.

So quiet & peaceful

Vacation w/3 generations - worked out very well. Lots of sleeping spaces & the living room area had plenty of seating. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hanging out on the deck was so relaxing & the yard was great for the kids to play.

Positives included a really nice view and a very secluded serene setting and a convenient layout of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house should have been cleaner, although I realize, because it is dog friendly, that may be almost impossible. Small aircraft airport nearby. House being built below. No shore access. No hot tub. Deck needs refinishing.

Beautiful Property

Wonderful home, beautiful views and fully stocked supplies in the kitchen. My family and I stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed sitting on the deck and grilling. It’s a really enjoyable place to stay and it was perfect for what we wanted! We did have an issue with entering the home when we discovered that the deadbolt lock cannot be opened from the outside with the key. The key just spins and spins
 we eventually (luckily) got the door open after trying for several minutes but the key definitely needs to be replaced. We also noticed some minor areas did not seem clean
 the refrigerator shelves were sticky and food debris was left inside. The wooden countertops were also sticky. We cleaned them ourselves easily enough but it did make me wonder if the cleaning crew missed anything else in the home. Overall a great home and a good experience.

Serene and beautiful

The property is lovely and well located (about 10 minutes’ drive to Eastsound). Beds and sofas are super comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. The fire pit is a nice gathering place and the view from the large deck is beautiful! We had planned on putting two teenagers out in the sleeping cabin but it is not really workable this time of year. No screens on the windows and mattresses are small, so we made do in the main house for sleeping. It looks like a fun space though, that they are developing.

Great house but faulty septic system

The house and view are beautiful. However the septic system is failing, toilet downstairs needed to be plunged often which I believe the owners are aware of since a plunger was sitting next to the toilet. The smell at times needed open windows despite the weather. Reached out to get no response, really didn't want to leave this review because if they could fix this issue the place was fantastic.

Amazing house-horrible management

First off, this house is gorgeous and so private! We loved the fenced area on the side of the house for our dogs and the gorgeous deck. Our kiddo loved the toys and board games and his own special window in the room where he stayed. I will say that the upper deck and sliding door are no longer there and they should probably update that information! We attempted to contact Vacasa MULTIPLE times before we arrived, the day we arrived and while we were staying and there was ZERO response. I emailed, called (they said that their call volume was high
) and even text the number they told you to text for faster responses (I text multiple times), but got zero contact from any avenue. I understand short staffing, but that’s ridiculous when you claim to have “24/7 support.” All the literature within the home pertaining to the house was contradictory on check out procedures as was the email sent from Vacasa (All were labeled as Vacasa materials) and they said that there would be starter detergent etc and there was not. The house gets 5 stars, but Vacasa customer service is a big zero. Thankfully there wasn’t a pressing issue or I don’t know what we would’ve done

Quiet and peaceful

Quiet and peaceful weekend with my husband, kids and 2 dogs after the passing of my father. The property is just beautiful and the dogs were in heaven. The view of the water and sunrise from the downstairs bedroom was breathtaking. Due to COVID we ate in during our three night stay with one exception and had everything needed to cook some lovely meals. The ping pong table was a huge hit and I taught the kids how to play Clue. The nearby town is lovely and there were so many choices for my landscape photography enthusiast husband. We highly recommend this house for your vacation!
